Is the salmon wild caught or farmed? Can find the answer on the bag..
Answer by ChewyMar 03, 2021
Whenever wild-caught salmon is available, it is sourced for this diet. When not available, farm-raised Salmon from the Pacific Northwest is used to ensure the recipe is still available.

Dog approved!

I’ve got 5 dogs, 2 dachshunds & 3 beagles. One of my beagles is not picky in the slightest. The others are a bit pickier about their food. When the dog food first arrived, I poured some in a bowl and my female dachshund turned her nose up and walked away (not surprised!), my not picky beagle walked over and started eating it all. At some point, all the dogs decided to try it out, and needless to say, 2 days later the bag is empty. As soon as they saw me pour food into their bowls, they all ran over and started devouring it. I guess it’s safe to assume this food is a winner in my house. All 5 dogs approve!

The wrong dogfood was delivered to me twice and billed twice!

This is the wrong dog food! I cannot believe you sent me two bags of this when it is the wrong thing. I want to return it but where on the website is any info about returning! You better credit my card back.

Best ingredients

A lot of dogs around the two year and three-year-old Time in their lives become allergic to chicken by products. Salmon and sweet potato is the best diet for these dogs.

quality ingredients but she won’t eat it

Try a small bag before going for the larger one. It’s totally my fault but she’s liked similar flavored dog food before. She went on a two day hunger strike and I finally caved and added scrambled egg (her favorite) to this kibble. She ate the eggs and spit out the food…. She’s always been a salmon and sweet potato fan but this is a hard pass for my 6 lb multi poo:/

The perfect food

This product provides the perfect balance of nutrients to keep a dog healthy and happy. Moreover, many dogs are allergic to chicken and beef, but not to salmon. That is yet another reason why I buy it

Still testing

Merrick food shows as a highly recommended grain free dog food. My GSD has skin allergies so we tried the salmon. Still working with it.

2 dogs love 1 not so much

I fed this food years ago but , purina took them over & I hate purina they are more for making money then caring for our loved animals , any ways , the foods I switched to came up on a recall ,then the other food I then switched to was always on back order , and these were very high priced dog foods . I have 2 dogs that are allergic to grains if it is a seed they will get ear infections & infections between their toes & fur loss , & one of my dogs is allergic to chicken even the fat which lots of dog foods have in them , and I will Not feed my dogs Canola oil which is toxic to any living being so with that my choices are limited & this was my last resort to feeding them dry food , if they start having issues I will opt for a RAW home made diet .

Expensivee

My review when it comes to Merrick dry dog food yes it is very expensive but it's worth every penny it is extremely healthy for your pet my dogs absolutely love it they love the backcountry freeze dried food more so than the other ones they also like the salmon and Venice and the rabbit with the sweet potato I found a dog food that is extremely exceptional is it worth buying yes I believe it is there are more expensive dog food out there that are high quality I'm not going to entertain it Merrick provides exceptional dog food for it's price I'm just now starting to buy the back country wet food for my dogs I use that every now and then not all the time I know my dogs prefer the gravy formula over the compressed mixed formula All In All Merrick provides a really good dog food I would recommend this product to anybody you will not be disappointed and if for some odd reason FedEx or UPS if they damaged your bags in shipment chewy will replace them at no additional charge

Merrick dog food

This food is nutritionally better, with more protein and less grain than other name brands. Although slightly more in price, I feel it will benefit my dog’s health greatly.
