The chicken version of this food includes all life stages “including growth of large breed” dogs over 70 lbs as adults. Does the beef version also meet this stnadard?

This was formulated for small and medium breed puppies. A large breed puppy may require larger kibble to accommodate their jaw structure. This formula only provides pint sized puppy bites.

My dog is already 1 year & 6 months old & is presently 37 lbs. Is she considered still a puppy?

A puppy is generally considered an adult when they stop growing taller. Typically for small breeds this is between 9-12 months, medium breeds around 12 months and large breeds closer to 15 months.

Merrick is a good brand but not for Everett dog.

I just obtained an 8 month old mixed breed dog, Petey. I purchased Merrick with added sweet potato dry food . I noticed his stool getting loose so I took him to the veterinarian. They put him on medication but it did not help at all. For 2 weeks Petey had accidents in the house and it had become uncontrollable. The vet advised me to switch to Purina Pro plan for sensitive stomachs. I did and within 3 days the diarrhea finally stopped, thanks to ProPlan. My vet did say that this has been experienced by some of her clients in the past with the Merrick.

Not good AT ALL. Gas and slimy stool

I had such high hopes but this food made my boxer puppy so gassy and the amount of slimy unformed stool was horrible. I didn’t even use 1/4th of the bag and refuse

I had such high hopes but this food made my boxer puppy so gassy and the amount of slimy unformed stool was horrible. I didn’t even use 1/4th of the bag and refuse to even give her this food ever again. It’s so frustrating to buy “expensive good” food only to have to home cook her meals because the food is so bad. I am glad it works for others but this food is NOT for a boxer puppy for sure.
