The can says dog food cooked in USA...but where is the chicken and beef ( ingredients ) from?

This formula is made in the USA. Merrick crafts their recipes with the freshest, highest quality ingredients available. Most of Merrick's ingredients come from the USA, however, in certain circumstances some ingredients may be sourced from China due to availability. Each and every ingredient must meet Merrick's own rigorous quality standards. Ingredients are tested upon arrival, samples are tested throughout production, and all pet food is tested before they release it for sale.

Is there glucosamine and chondroitin in this???

This recipe is formulated to meet the nutritonal levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutritional Levels for All Life Stages including growth of large size dogs (70 pounds or more as an adult).

We will be mixing this with Merrick puppy kibble, how long will this last when sealed and refrigerated?

We advise Pet Parents to treat their left over food for their fur baby, like you would their own left overs. Once opened if stored properly it should last 2 - 3 days.

I stopped for a week and tried again and unfortunately he got diarrhea again. He might be allergic to beef, not quite sure but I’m sticking with the chicken going forward.

Nope - DO NOT buy

These are not good. These cans have a layer of fat/junk on the top, at least two inches thick - my dog can't stand it. She sniffs it and walks away. I have 5 dogs

These are not good. These cans have a layer of fat/junk on the top, at least two inches thick - my dog can't stand it. She sniffs it and walks away. I have 5 dogs and NO ONE will eat it. I am not sure if it is the fat layer or the taste of the dog food, even when I spoon them some of the food without the fat layer, they walk away. There is something about the gravy. Also, the chunks are huge - my puppy is an Aussie, so she is bigger, but this is not good puppy food - the chunks are too big for a puppy and the fat layer is gross. Unfortunately I bought 2 cases, I thought for sure it would be good food - and the price is a bit high for this stuff to be so bad.

My puppy has been going through an extremely picky phase a couple of months ago, since she hit about 6 months old. She won't eat kibble at all anymore and is very selective about what wet foods she'll eat. I know Merrick makes high quality food and was excited to try this "growth" recipe, as my pup is only eating an "All Stages" food right now. But my pup won't eat it at home and she didn't even really want it when the neighbors' were babysitting her, even though she usually gobbles her food there due to the perceived competition. Hugely disappointed.
