My dog loves this!
My dog absolutely loved this Merrick Healthy Grains Kitchen Comforts Lamb Shepherd's Pie Recipe wet dog food! She was super excited to try it as soon as I popped open the can. As a plus for me, this was very easy to open since its a pop top and requires no can opener. The food itself looked as I would expect wet dog food to look. My dog scarfed this down and wanted more! I highly recommend this. I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. All opinions are my own.

Wooo My dog throughly enjoyed Merricks healthy grains Lam Shepherds pie wet dog food. As soon as I opened the can and the aroma hit her nose, she started whimpering with anticipation with what was to come. Once I gave her, her food bow.,...She went to town. Gobbled up her whole meal within seconds and licked the bowl and continued licking even after it was all gone. I'd say this was a huge hit and would highly recommend! I received this product for free for the purpose of my review but all opinions are my own (and my dogs of course :p )
Pickiest of eaters
I'm not entirely sure how to rate this. Here's why: I have the pickiest dog ever, so it's really not the dog food's fault. When I got the alert that I could get a free sample, I immediately applied. My dog, Freya, is super picky and finding a dog food she will eat on a regular basis is difficult, to say the least. I'm talking I could put a steak in front of her and she would walk away from it 50% of the time. Though she does love wet cat food... If you're listening Merrick, make a dog food more like cat food. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be with Freya and this food. Again. She licked a little bit of the broth, then walked away and never came back to it. I really wanted her to love it, as it has great ingredients. Oh well, on to the next food. And the next... and the next. I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. A Miss and a Hit
My finicky male Shih-tzu did not care at all for #freesample Lamb Shepherd's Pie. He first tried to bury it in the rug then dragged over his blanket to cover it. That is the miss. His beagle/fox-hound sister adored it! She ate every last bite then licked the bowl spotless. That is the hit. When I opened the can I noticed a very strong smell of sage and I think that was what put him off, but the size of the pieces and the gravy looked great. Better than FreshPet
I buy wet food as a backup when my dog has picky days, not to substitute but as a little flavor to add to regular dog food on some occasions. I use to buy Fresh Pet (the ground meat type in a roll that you can mince up) and would use a little bit as a topper to dry kibble. Now that I have tried the canned Merrick Healthy Grains Kitchen Comforts wet food, I am sticking to it. This is just as healthy as the other brand but way easier/cleaner to store in the fridge and easier to measure especially since I use a small amount for my toy size dog. I just wish it has more of the vegetables as pictured.

#freesample I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. All opinions are my own. Firstly, my American Bulldog Lily loved this flavor! It was literally gone in 60 seconds with her bowl licked so clean it may as well have come out of the dishwasher! Normally, I mix her canned food with some dry, but for purposes of this review, I gave it to her straight, and she dove right in. It is full of chunks of meat and green peas in a medium viscosity gravy and would be a great consistency to use as a topper or feed by itself. My husband and I noted that it actually smelled nice, it doesn't have the normal canned dog food smell. We feed various Merrick canned products to Lily and will be adding this to the rotation. P.S. Apparently, Lily didn't want the flavor to end as she just trotted into the den with the empty can after digging it out of the recycling bin, lol!

I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. All opinions are my own. I received 1 can of Merrick Kitchen Comforts Lamb Shepherd’s Pie. I have 3 dogs so I decided to let each of them have a portion of the sample. They all quickly ate their samples, barely coming up for air. I found the gravy portion of the product to be very soupy. When reviewing the nutritional content, I saw that the can is 82% moisture. The protein content is 8%. I try to feed my pack food with a higher protein content but this would work as an occasional treat or to supplement their Merrick Backcountry food. My dogs did enjoy it as evidenced by the empty bowls. The smell was interesting but again, a little too much moisture in my opinion.

Merrick is always my go to for dog food. My dogs absolutely love it and one is quite picky. They also hate taking their heart worm pills, but gobble them up when I used Merrick’s canned food. I have to say when I saw the can with the big vegetables I was nervous my dog would spit them out but when I opened the can they were so small she didn't even notice. Meat is definitely the main ingredient and she really liked it. I definitely recommend it.

He went to the bowl right away when he saw this, and ate the whole thing! I like Merrick a lot and use their dry food as his daily meals, so I like to stick with them when I get canned food as a special treat because I trust the brand. #freesample
