These are not soft treats

If you have older dogs or dogs without all their teeth, don't get these. I don't understand why they are classified as soft. They aren't crunchy, but they a step below hockey puck. I have to cut them up with a knife to be able to give to senior dogs. Ugh. Review is not on taste or quality but you shouldn't advertise as soft treats when they could just as well be replacements for bb's, in a pinch.

The texture is very strange....

i read the ingredients list and overall these did not sound bad for 'treats'. My two concerns are... size.... they are too large for training and TEXTURE. The texture is rubbery almost silicon feeling in nature. It makes them hard to break into smaller pieces and they got stuck in my dogs' teeth. They feel like gummy bears to me and my dogs just sat around trying to get them down. This broke the flow of the training sessions so much that I even tried cutting them into smaller pieces. There are better options out there at a better price point... Needs work Merrick.....

My dogs go crazy for these

My bully breeds have stomach sensitivities and can easily get diarrhea from treats. Not from these though, and the smell is such a strong smoked meat scent that they can literally smell them from 6 feet away and come charging at me for one. I use these to get them excited to go into their crates or whenever they are being stubborn with listening and they do the trick.

I have been successful training my 13 week old mini Aussie with these treats. I know Aussies are very smart to begin with, but she was not really getting potty training. Once I incorporated these into the reward, it was a game changer.

I have a lot of highly reactive dogs in my neighborhood. These treats help me divert my very strong dog from engaging with the other dogs when we encounter them. He loves them, and they are easily carried and disbursed.

Not sure what is up with these treats, but no dogs will eat these. My dog won’t eat them, and we’ve tried to see if friends dogs will, but no dogs will touch these.

Nice size for a quick treat, not too terribly small. Some of the training bite treats are so miniscule that the dog doesn't even know he/she got a treat. They look at me like, "Well...? I'm still waiting!" What's the point of that?
