Loved the look of this crate. It seems very stable and well made. But the door started braking within 2 months. Now the door has completely broken off and I'll have to purchase a new crate. Very disappointed because I love the look of it.
Purchased as a storm haven for the living room. Came two days early and was excellent quality for the price. We took the door off and put a Velcro cover on for the opening, she is so happy and feels safe for storms.
I wanted something more attractive than a wire crate. Your dog does need to be crate trained as the latch is not the most secure and of course wood is chewable! But absolutely love it for my small pitbull who is well crate trained
This has got to be the best dog crate/pet hotel. Love love it. It did take time to put it together but well worth it
We bought this crate to keep our 20 lb rat terrier in while we go out. At 18 mos, he still likes to tear up a good pillow. Used for the first time tonight for 4 hours while we went to an event and he was able to bend the bars, broke two off, and slipped out. This is NOT okay, especially for the price we paid! The quality of the product is questionable. The frame seems okay, but the bars can be bent (even by the dog), easily separated from the cross bars and apparently does not hold my dog. I feel like I was scammed and would NOT recommend this product to anyone! A sedentary dog may be fine, but if they are active, this is not the one for you. Buyer beware!
I just got this as a Christmas present and was so excited because our little rescue dog likes taking naps in her crate so the crate seemed like it was always out and in use whether we were home or not. So the idea of a crate that could also just be a part of the house furniture was appealing. I asked for this one in particular because of the sliding door. Our dog did fine the first day in it while we were at work, but on the second day she easily pulled a metal rod off and slipped through to get out. Really bummed about that. So this would be ok for people that just want a place for their dog to come and go but I can't recommend to actually leave your dog alone in this during the day.
We have a puppy lab mix...10.5 pounds. Puppy scratched the bars til they came out. He also could "move" the bars to squeeze in/out of.. NOT PUPPY PROOF. All that $$ for a throw away.
Do not recommend. Front door fell off after two uses. Fell off while I was closing kennel door. Also product was difficult to assemble and time consuming. Definitely needing to return item in order to purchase a more sustainable product.
First we got the wrong item ( some kind of ramp). Chewy sent the right item second time. Our dog is 5lbs and and got this crate apart in less than 2 minutes. The door latch came apart totally off. Fixed it and then the dog took the wires off because they are barely attached. Can not use until we figure something out. Unbelievable that this is sold this way. Sad situation
My two small terriers fit great! It looks nice and was easy to assemble. IF YOUR DOG IS NOT CRATE TRAINED I WOULD NOT USE THIS CRATE FOR TRAINING, GET AN ALL METAL CRATE OR UNDERSTAND THAT THIS CRATE MAY GET DAMAGED. I worked hard to make crates of all sorts a safe positive space for my boys so they do fine with any crate. They are 10 and 13lbs Jack Russell and Rat Terrier. Hope this helps!
