A very great crate to have when having a litter. I use mine when having puppy I set it up nexts to my bed like a bassinet. Works great the only thing that could use better material is the trays. Very flimsy. Other than that great idea.
Since lockdown, poorly made. Welds don't hold. I bought same in 2018 & it's looks brand new compared to this one
They are easy to clean and come in handy for a litter of puppies. Great for puppies to stay in while you're gone.
Pleased with the grate. Easy to clean. But I should have gotten the floor grid at 1 inch instead of 1/2 inch. Have Boston Terrier and pug puppies and they could use the 1 inch grid. But that was my fault not the company.
I used these puppy pens for Chihuahua mom & babies. ADVICE: Put plastic tray on top of grates. Plenty of room for bed & washable puppy pads. Works perfect!
Pans have always been damaged have bought six of them.
I purchased this the first time and both the pans were broken and the plastic coating on the inside panels that the puppies walk on was melted with sharp edges. Returned it and was sent a new one. Opened the box, packaging straps were cut (so this is used!), pan was broken, rust is present, and the center piece to fill in the gap is too long to fit. Waiting for Chewy to make this right for the 2nd time.
These grated and wired floors are horrible for dogs and cats. This can cause damage to their paw pads and they can get their claws stuck. Grated floors are simply a lazy solution for pet owners that cant be bothered to clean up after there pet!
The new 1/2 inch grate floor does not allow solid feces to fall out away from pups. Also my small pups feet and legs slide down into the grates in the floor and get stuck. Collar tags on the female mother dog got stuck in the grate floor and she actually slid her head out of the collar somehow to attend to her newborn pups. I had to wrap a piece of cardboard for and her newborns to lay on until they start crawling at which time I will put them in another crate with the 1 inch grate that Chewy.com no longer offers.
I ordered this as a toilet area for pups to attach to their playpen to start the housebreaking transition. It would be ok, however the trays were broken upon arrival so that pretty much rendered it useless. And you can't order replacements from chewy. That's a major inconvenience.
