My cats don't use the cave portion too much (yet, at least) but they love the top area to chillax and look out the window. It looks sooo much nicer than many cat trees so it was worth the price, even if it was a little bit more than comparable trees.

It looks cute in a room, but I guess for being selfish, you get what you deserve. My cat didn't like this thing, not even a little bit. It's appealing to the human eye, but it does shed little wicker pieces everywhere. It wasn't sturdy enough for my cat, who is about 13 pounds. He didn't want to sit up top because the tree was heavy enough and didn't feel sturdy to him, I'm guessing. It wobbled a bit. I don't think he liked the pillows included either. He went inside the bottom compartment once. Ultimately, a loss for us. It's sitting in my basement, and I got him another tree that's similar to the one he has in the living room, carpeted monstrosity and all :) We are both happier.
Overall pretty good!

Pros: I bought this because I wanted something smaller. It's the perfect height, the top bed, for my cat to look out of the window while laying down. It's also nicer to look at then a typical carpeted cat tree. The top bed is sturdy for my 9lb cat.
Cons: this is a wicker material; On the inside of the house there are a fair amount of loose wicker pieces of which my cat has decided taste wonderful. The padding on the upper bed is very thin.
Overall I like this...if my cat doesn't devour it.

For cats under 12 lbs for top to be sturdy. One of my cats enjoyed eating the wicker!....but overall, a beautiful cat condo that your cats will enjoy! Mine loved hiding in the space below.
