The directions were a bit hard to follow because the images were very clear but we managed. Everything clicked in tightly. Lots of space for a normal hamster.

This is the most accessible cage I've come across in terms of ease in getting things in and out because of its full open top. The overall construction of the cage seems well made, is light to carry, and encased completely around plastic covers leaving no exposed metal wire at any end or edge. I also like the plastic turn latches that keep the top lid secured versus others that usually have just the metal swing latch. Things I feel that could improve the cage is to add two additional latches on the long ends that hold the metal wire top to the bottom plastic as there are only two currently being used to secure the two pieces together. The wire spacing is also 0.5 inches which I feel could be smaller but I have yet to experience any escapes from my two dwarf hamsters. Lastly, the accessories are junk, the water bottle leaks consistently and the wheel became very loud after just a few days into its use (the wheel is constructed nicely but is poorly designed). I will most likely be in the market for a better wheel which sucks considering how much was paid for this particular setup. As for recommendations on whether this setup was worth the cost, if you're looking for accessibility in and out of the cage and having a large space for your pet to run around, this is the one. Just keep in mind you'll most likely be buying replacement accessories at some point.
