When used properly, a dog crate mimics your dog's desire to find a safe and secure den and it should feel like a safe place for your dog. Ovation Dog Crates are wire models and they allow your dog a great view out and provide good airflow through the crate vs. the stifling plastic walls of many other crate styles. The sliding door dog crate design allows you to leave the crate open. Your dog can come and go as she pleases when you are around the house. Just slide the door back into place when you need to keep him contained. Ovation Dog Crates features a free divider panel. The divider panel hooks over the vertical bars on the sides of the crate and allows you to adjust the size of the crate as your dog grows. Ovation Dog Crates are also heavier than the crates you often find making this sliding door crate a versatile, long-lasting product for you and your dog!

For safety purposes, MidWest recommends removing your dog’s collar, harness or leash before placing them in their dog crate. Monitor your pet during the first few days of crate training to ensure that they are adapting well to their new home.
To protect the finish of your Pet Home and the bottom pan, use only mild, non-abrasive cleaners and water. Any coarse scrubbing or abrasive materials could damage the finish.

We bought this for our German shepherd/lab rescue and it held up for about a month. In the span of an hour she bent the wires on it, and then later that day after we got home from work she had managed to rip the door off. This didn't take much force either because she's weak due to being malnourished by her previous owners. So how did she get it off? She kicked out the bottom of the crate, then pulled the door down and towards herself. It knocked the door right off. So unless you have a dog who is already kennel trained, do not get this. It's not sturdy and our dog easily figured out how to get that door off
Very happy with this crate. Easy assembly and fit perfectly in the space l ordered it for. I like the space saving door but it does take some practice to open easily. The matching pad was very plush and well made.
This crate is exactly what I was looking for. My dog loves his crate but doesn't have to be confined if we are not home. The door on this crate folds up and lays on the top of the crate. Had a 2-door crate and the one door kept hitting the wall and he got his foot stuck in the other door that was closed (luckily I was there and got his foot out right away). Neither will happen with this crate. It is easy to close the door if needed. Highly recommend!
This is my second MidWest Ovation dog crate with door that folds up & lays flat on top of the crate. I love that I am not walking into the crate door and banging my leg. It assembles & disassembles easily. Handles for carrying crate make it easy to transport. Love the new waterproof textured crate liner. Only negative is some of the 2” rollers on bottom of crate keep coming off when the crate is moved to vacuum underneath or the dog jumps out of the crate, thus scratching the wood floor. Had to place an exercise mat underneath the crate to protect the wood floor.
We needed a taller crate for our tall and lanky growing Golden Retriever, Rafa. This crate is superb, roomy, comfortable and we love the “garage door” opening which doesn’t intrude into the kitchen space when open.
The crate is a nice crate but it is 2 inches narrower and 2” shorter than what is listed. A little too small for my dog.
The crate was not easy to setup. I had to bend the top to accommodate the front of the cage. The door doesn't go down smoothly and requires moving two clasps as well as the handle to close..
I purchased one of these to try it out. My 2 21 pound maltese/terrier mix dogs each had the traditional front opening but it was always swinging in the way. The crates are in another enclosure due to having cats and the dogs love to finish the cat's food when they are unattended. I love the garage door style so the door can fold up out of the way. I have the small size and it is quite roomy. I now have 2 of these crates and am very pleased with them. They also fold flat for traveling or when not needed. The tray slides out and is easy to clean.
I first bought this style crate when I had storage space under a set of floating steps. The crate could stay tucked away but always available to my big boy whenever he wanted to rest in it. I now have a total of three. This new design is an inch larger, has extra locking features and very smooth operation. It is made well from good materials. It breaks down easily for transport and though large the crate carries well with the included handles. The divider facilitated meeting the space needs of my new pup. As she grew and did not soil in her crate I could give her more and more space. This garage door style is my fav. I keep five crates set up at all times with the doors open and I wish they were all garage door style.
Love the cage I have pits and there is plenty of space and I did have to replace the tray as I said I have pits and they love to chew but customer service made it so easy to replace. The tray is somewhat flexible so it won't creak under the weight of large dogs as easily as some other would. All in all I would recommend this 100% it is a great cage at a great price.
