Nothing about this item is dog safe

We purchased this crate mat on the premise that it was somewhat chew proof as written in the advertisement. Absolutely do not buy this for a dog that has any potential

We purchased this crate mat on the premise that it was somewhat chew proof as written in the advertisement. Absolutely do not buy this for a dog that has any potential of chewing. The photo I’ve attached was the damage done in under two hours from a 49 pound dog, with a mat that is the appropriate size for the crate with no exposed edges. The mat is also thin and while it would help with sound, it would not provide the cushioning that an older dog may need. Now we wait to see if any pieces were ingested by our dog and hopefully they pass through.

It tears easily

It's okay. The sizing it a little off (it's a little big for my crate) and it's pretty thin and flimsy. My dog doesn't try and tear it, but it's getting torn up

Adds grip and cushion to travel crate

This is something grippy so the bed didn't slide forward in our travel crate. I got a Large rubber mat knowing it was bigger than travel crate, it's very flexible,

This is something grippy so the bed didn't slide forward in our travel crate. I got a Large rubber mat knowing it was bigger than travel crate, it's very flexible, so far I just folded it under, but the material feels like it would be easily cut and still hold it's shape (I know that's not Chewy's answer). You can see the sides flexed up in the crate and wouldn't need to be cut. I think the dog enjoyed it today- we drive 2 hours on country roads and I never heard him adjust positions as much as usual. As many have shown, this rubber mat is only suitable for dogs who aren't going to chew it. But for older dogs who would benefit from a little cushion and grip, or who may be a little nervous with car movement, I definitely recommend.

Trash mats

Posted as small animal friendly. My rabbit hopped on and immediately ripped a hole in one and began eating the rubber. NO THANKS!

Lasted 2 days

I purchased 2 mats to line the crates of my mini dachshunds. They are nice and thick but didn’t stay together long. The first day there were black flakes coming

My dogs have not chewed it up!

There was an insecticide odor on taking it out of the box. Fortunately after 10 days, g T the odor dissipated. Smelled like bug killer used on warehouses!
