MidWest QuietTime Cushioned Antimicrobial Dog Crate Mat, Black

Not waterproof

This is the second QuietTime crate mat I've purchased. The reviews about it being easily shredded are true. To solve this issue, I sewed a simple slipcover out of an old sheet and put the pad inside. All was well until my cat peed on it one day in the crate. I removed the homemade slipcover, washed it and hosed off the mat. It was at that time discovered it is NOT waterproof. Soaked up water like a sponge. Could not get the smell of cat pee out so I had to throw it away. My second one I have wrapped in garbage bags, then covered with the slipcover I made. I hope I've covered all my bases this time because the mat fits the crate perfectly and it definitely reduces the noise level.

Surface is too delicate

This is nicely cushioned, but the surface needs a big upgrade. Nails will immediately puncture this. My dog doesn't chew bedding, but this would last seconds against any attempt. Trimming down an exercise mat or horse stall mat would have a more durable surface.

Nice Mat

Has a cushiony feel and helps with the crate noise. I had it in my kitchen for a floor mat at the sink and really liked for myself.

Had high hopes, should have read the reviews. My dog is great in a crate but doesn’t like the loud noise of the plastic bottom. I tried replacing the plastic with this mat because it wouldn’t fit inside the crate tray even though it’s listed as the correct size for the crate. He did okay the first time, then I saw him paw at it a few times. Little black flecks started coming off. Once that started, he pawed a huge hole in it. Now I have a holey pad that I put the crate tray on top of to cancel some of the noise. Don’t waste your money on this unless your dog is a complete angel in the crate.

Terrible mat

While the mat seemed like it would be comfortable, my dog damaged and scratched right through it in a matter of minutes. We had to throw it away. I wish I read more reviews before purchasing and would like a refund

Nice heavy duty mat

This is a nice, heavy-duty crate mat. It fits perfectly in the Midwest iCrate. I have a dog who does not like to lie on a dog bed or any cushion, but I didn't want him just lying on a hard plastic tray. This mat is perfect - he is fine with lying on it and it provides a little bit of cushioning. I think it would also be useful for a crate in a car so the dog would have some traction and not slide around in the crate.

absolute garbage

This thing was absolutely destroyed. Even before I got it out of the package it had a tear in it at the corner and I should have left it then. It’s so delicate, It tore even going into the kennel more. Lasted all of 5 minutes. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

We literally received this mat today. It was smaller than I expected for our kennel, which was my fault for not seeing the measurements. BUT, it obviously is not durable as our 1 yr old Pomsky torn it up as we went out for groceries. She never destroys things in her kennel! Very disappointed! Products for animals should be expected to be made durable and safe no matter the age of the animal.

Did not last

I loved the material when getting it out of the box and thought it would be perfect. Unfortunately it didnt last a few hours with our dog in it.

Did not hold up to my puppy

It sounded like a great pad, hoped it would hold up longer than an hour. For what I paid for the large pad, well, expected more for sure. First time that I have been really disappointed in an item from Chewy.
