MidWest Cozy Crates

A Cozy Crate for Every Home

As instinctual den animals, it's important for dogs to have a comfy place to nest. Crates also help with potty training and reducing habits like chewing or barking, while providing a safe, den-like home for your fur baby. MidWest designs their crates with safety, security and comfort as their priority. No matter the age of your dog, you're sure to find the right fit for your unique pal.

Convenience and Comfort, All in One

For a lightweight crate that requires no tools, folds flat, and still has the security of heavy-duty slide-bolt latches, look no further than the MidWest iCrate. It’s made for easygoing dogs and even comes with a divider panel so it can grow with your pup. Pair that with a removable, ease-to-clean plastic pan, sturdy carrying handle, and surface protective rubber feet to create the recipe for a crate made just for your dog.

A Crate for All LifeStages

Made with heavy-gauge steel and wire mesh, MidWest's Life Stages is a sturdy cage that can offer extra security. Rubber rollers protect your floors while a sturdy carrying handle makes it easy to move before your pal gets in. With rounded corners to protect your dog, slide bolt latches to keep him safely inside, and a divider panel that can be moved—and removed as your pup grows—it's a crate for all life stages.

Secure, Sturdy and Safe

For optimal security and safety, the Ultima Pro is MidWest's most durable crate, made of professional-gauge steel designed to stand up to chewers and stronger dogs. The dual door access allows your dog to enter and exit on either side—but only when you say so! Your dog will feel safe and cozy in this retreat, made just for those pups who need a little extra safekeeping.

What gauge is the wire of the Midwest Ultima Pro?

Answer by ChewyOct 10, 2018
The Ultima Pro crate has 7 & 9 wire gauge.

Is this crate appropriate for Doberman? We rescued an 10 month pup and weighs approximately 70 pounds and growing. He can chew through anything and we like to crate train him without him tearing up the crate!

Answer by ChewyMar 27, 2018
This crate is made of very durable material that will stand up to the test of time with tough chewers.

I am looking at purchasing the X-Large MidWest Ultima Pro Double Door Collapsible Wire Dog Crate. I would like to verify the Model Number; is this the Midwest Model 748UP crate? Thanks . . .

Answer by ChewyAug 27, 2020
This crate is available in models 724UP for size small, 730UP for size medium, 736UP for size intermediate, 742UP for size large, and 748UP for size x-large.

I am getting two mini doxie pups who will grow to approx 15 lbs each. What size of crate would you recommend so I can keep of them together in the crate comfortably. I was thinking the 36" L would be good.

Answer by ChewyAug 18, 2020
It is not recommended to house both pet's in one crate. For safety reasons, it is best to house each pet in their individual crate, however placing them in the same room so they can keep each other company.

Collapsible Dog Cage - Love It!

We have about 7 cages for our 2 pups so we have many in various rooms or in the truck. This is a GREAT sized crate for a 45-50 lb dog. Easy to set up. Easy to move

We have about 7 cages for our 2 pups so we have many in various rooms or in the truck. This is a GREAT sized crate for a 45-50 lb dog. Easy to set up. Easy to move. The plastic tray seems more comfy than other metal ones we have however when I threw a heavy bone on it, it cracked. Pros /cons to the various tray types. LOVE THIS CAGE!

Quality dog crate

Put our new 43” crate together without a problem although the printed instructions are hard to follow. All sides fit perfectly, all pieces intact. Very pleased.

We flew an anxious cat from Buffalo NY to Northern VA and were happy to be able to buy the same animal crate he had been in at the shelter in Buffalo. It was large enough for the litter box, a cat bed, and food and water bowls. A scratching pad was attached to one side of it. This helped to make our new cat feel secure in his new environment and while meeting his new feline housemate. It was easy to set up, well-made, and easy to access the inside.

Easy set up & sturdy

This crate is perfect for our big Golden! It is super strong and easy to set up and take down. It is heavy though which is good for us to use as an anchor for dog

Today our puppy had a hard day in the crate (his radio turned off and we had multiple packages delivered). I left work as soon as I could, but while I was finishing it was comforting to know that he was secure in his crate. He was digging and nosing the latches at times (I could see this on the camera) and I was glad I had opted for this model with the extra bars blocking them. The power coating is nice too and ensures a more durable finish over time. Our last crate did not have that and started to rust a little after a few years of use.

Midwest Ultima Pro Dog Crate

The metal appears heavier gage. The plastic bottom appears the same as the other line of cages by Midwest. Although, it is serving its purpose. Thank you chewy

Solid but not too heavy

I'm not sure if we really needed to choose this over the icrate, but I have no complaints - great construction, feel like it's going to last as long as we need

So heavy!

I bought this thinking it would work well for travel, as it is collapsible. I am sure it is very sturdy and well made but, as I am a petite woman, I can hardly lift

Well made

Well made crate, easy to set up, clean and move around. The two entry points make it nice to use in the back of small suv.
