CHEW PROOF???
Yes the metal cable IS chew proof BUT the plastic covering is NOT.

BEST LEASH!
I LOVE these leashes for my dog! They're SUPER strong and the handle is really comfy to hold. It even has reflective stitching on it! The leash comes with a cute little pamphlet for help with reactive dogs. I bought another one in another color just because they're that awesome. :)

Exactly what I wanted!! Betty Rose can no longer bite through her leash with her puppy teeth!! And it’s very strong and sturdy!!! I’m very happy and satisfied with purchase. And I always buy her puppy things through Chewy!!
Undoubtably Sturdy But Incredibly Uncomfortable
I am sure that this product would solve the leash-chewing issue, but it is impossible to maintain a grip on the cable if your hands become sweaty. Perhaps this could be resolved by wearing grippy gloves of some kind, but that would not be feasible in the kind of heat we experience in California. Also, the cable is very difficult to wrap around your hand--when I did it I lost all circulation and feeling in my hand. (I have read other reviews that state the same thing, by the way.) If this leash was one or two feet long, it would be an excellent training tool, but at this length, I unfortunately cannot accomplish walking with my puppy the way that I had hoped to.
Chew-proof
My dog chewed through 4 or 5 leashes before this one. We've had this for several months now and you can see where he's tried it, but he hasn't managed to break it!
Comfy handle
The handle is super comfy. He still tries to chew on the bit where the leash is looped around the carabineer but doesn't seem to be doing any damage. My only complaint is that it's hard to roll around your hand when you want to shorten the leash but that is not a big complaint.
Chew proof leash
Bubba was chewing through regular leather and cloth leashes within a few minutes because he is 10 months old and going through his terrible two's. Wasn't able to do so with this leash and curbed his desire to think he was going to be free if stopped and I was speaking to someone for more than a minute. He is 112 lbs and still growing and I use this leash for continued training.
Leash is great, connection is not.
You'd think a chew proof cable leash would have a heavy duty attachment hook to ALSO reduce the likelihood of a dog getting free. Alas, the carabiner is cheap and shabby quality. I love the cable, the handle is a bit bulky but alright, but the carabiner is extremely disappointing. I can't use this on anything but small dogs and very young puppies, not the kind of dog I got it for.
stainless steel 6 ft dog leash
It is chew proof and easy to use. Six foot length is perfect
