How heavy is this?

Answer by ChewyApr 02, 2023
This leash weighs 6 ounces.

Will it hurt a puppy's teeth if he tries to chew on this leash?

Answer by ChewyOct 19, 2022
It is not recommended to allow dogs to chew on the metal chain. They may attempt to bite the chain if teething as a playful motion but typically dogs will not continue to chew on a metal chain as it's not satisfying.

Stood out? It lasted 5 minutes

Definitely chew proof!

My dog chewed through his cloth leash when I stopped for a few minutes to talk to a neighbor. He’s tried chewing on this leash but found it’s made of tougher stuff!

The color on the leash stained my hands and my dogs collar. It seems like a good idea, but the leash was wrapped around my hand when my dog saw a squirrel and started to pull. I couldn’t get my hand out of the wire, and I couldn’t grip the leash to help control my dog. It hurt so badly and I was helpless to get my dog to turn away from the squirrel. I don’t not recommend at all.

I purchased two different non-chewable leashes. This one is the best. It has a nice soft handle and a great carabiner hitch. It is excellent for training. My dogs chewed through 8 leather and woven leashes before I found this one. It is quite sturdy and a good length for my Siberian huskie. These leashes are good for training, but if you have a rowdy dog or a one prone to running don't use it for regular walks. The thin wire acts like a whiplash, gets trapped under car wheels, and easily gets hung up on car interiors. Fair warning, attach the leash after the dog is out of the car.

This leash cannot be chewed through

My dog is a chewer, easily destroying any fabric leash she is tied to. This leash is metal covered in plastic. She pretty much leaves it alone now.

Strong!

Luna chewed through a few leashes. This one is strong yet has a comfortable, cushioned wrist strap.

Dog Can't Chew through It

My puppy couldn't chew through this leash but she could chew the soft covering which left the leash rough to the touch.
