My dog absolutely hates the taste of this, it must be very bitter because for several minutes after giving it to her she snaps at her lips and licks her lips and shakes her head. She can’t stand it. I started with half the recommended dose, and I’m slowly working up to the 1ML per day recommended however, as an inch closer, I see that my dog has loose stools I would not buy again
My cat is impossible to pill. This liquid is a great alternative to denamarin tablets and can be added to a squeeze-up snack. My cat laps it up. Only inconvenience is that it is a prescription product
My cats liver enzymes were almost at 400 at the end of January Put him on this for 30 days Just got his blood work re-done Everything is back in normal range His liver values were 80 The range goes up to 100 I can't say enough good things about this You do have to give it a good shake Also I was having difficulty finding a dosage Chewy Pharmacy was no help I was giving.05 ml twice a day for 30 days Saw an improvement in less than a week!
This product is very oily and made my dog vomit immediately after administration. I was hoping this would replace two other individual products (SAM-e and milk thistle), but it is clearly not tolerated by my pet.
Unfortunately this product did not sit well with my cats stomach
Medicine had a thick brown lump in the bottom of the bottle. Hard to mix.
I just started my little girl on this liquid compound. I was reading about the pill/tablet version of SAMe and it appears that many pet owners state their dog/cat has difficulty swallowing the "large" pill. My little girl is a 4lb Maltese with liver issues. Her ALTs were well above 1600 in Jan, 2022. I started adding powdered Milk Thistle to her diet and as of Jun, 2022 her ALTs have come down to 800. It is still high but much better than the Jan. reading. I discussed with my vet about adding this liquid compound and she agreed to have my little one try it. My little girl does not like pills. She doesn't like the liquid either but she is tolerating it thus far. You do need to consult with your vet about how much should be administered as it is based on the weight of your pet. Chewy Pharmacy makes this compound in different strengths so definitely consult with your Vet before purchasing. I contacted Chewy Pharmacy and they also assisted me with my questions about this compound. I bought this compound in the smallest size as I wasn't sure if my little one would accept it or tolerate it. So far all is good. It will be interesting to see if this improves my little girl's ALT levels.
