Is the larger crate approved for the airlines?

No it is not acceptable for cargo. Airline regulations specify that the crate must be made of solid material, not collapsible or wire. That’s all the further you need to go in the specifications to know it’s not appropriate for pet travel on the airlines.

Great for small spaces but

This is great for traveling and stowing in the RV. Easy to put together. Make sure it clicks in place. It does rattle a little in the truck. BUT it does not come

This is great for traveling and stowing in the RV. Easy to put together. Make sure it clicks in place. It does rattle a little in the truck. BUT it does not come with the crate pad as stated in the description.

I bought the medium foldable Mirapet cage for traveling with our 17 lb. Rat Terrier. Made of plastic, it is lightweight and easy to fold up for traveling. During the last trip, the Mirapet cage moved and folded up twice a day from the hotel to my son’s house. It was easy to teach him to “Go Home” no matter where we stayed.

Not what I expected

The crate is very wobbly and doesnt feel secure, more importantly the rattling and instability of the crate makes my dog, a 6 lb yorkie, very scared.

The sides are not very sturdy. It is easy to set up though. I would not trust it on a plane.

Spacious and seems well built

I was able to test mine out taking both of my cats to the vet. They had plenty of room w/ the small model, and I didn’t have a problem getting them in or out of

I was able to test mine out taking both of my cats to the vet. They had plenty of room w/ the small model, and I didn’t have a problem getting them in or out of it. I like how it collapses, and how everything snaps together and breaks down. This pet carrier seems very sturdy and well built.

Great for car travel

We got small crate for car travel for our 7 lb Papillon Phalene. Great size for her. We have it sitting on a wrapped plank to make it sit level & the door opening

We got small crate for car travel for our 7 lb Papillon Phalene. Great size for her. We have it sitting on a wrapped plank to make it sit level & the door opening is between the 2 front seats. Our dog goes in / out from the front passenger seat. This placement allows her to see out front window & us to see her - she’s traveling with us but in a crash safe crate. It would be too large for inside plane under a seat so no plans for air travel. Our only issue is that the door latch rattles when driving & is annoying. We had another more traditional plastic crate for another dog & its door rattled too. Wish that could be fixed.
