By January 1998, Modesto Milling gained its organic certification from Oregon Tilth of Salem, Ore. They became the first organic grain processor in Central California, and ever since, Modesto Milling has been manufacturing high quality organic feed for many different types of livestock.

We have purchased this feed a number of times from new hatchlings to layer stage. The ingredients are awesome. The feed stinks, even in a sealed bag. The crumble is so fine it's almost powder and we've had to make it a mash or ferment of it. Also, I was wondering how healthy our flock was because their poops were always looking like cecal poops. So I purchased a bag of another organic brand at our local feed store to experiment, then the poops became regular bird looking poops! I don't think we'll purchase this brand again based on the crumb/powder, stench (also means their poop stinks more), and awful looking poo

Love the ingredients, but it's not crumble.

I would love to give this feed 5 stars, but it isn't actually crumble. Instead, it resembles fine, sandy soil. Unless you ferment, most of the feed is wasted.

Not crumbles, it’s powder.

I was disappointed in the consistency of this feed. It was powder and not a crumble.

I so wanted to feed our meat chicks something organic with no soy and no corn - I thought this was it. But it was dark brown / black (not like the picture) - gave it to them anyway and they have had constant diarrhea - it’s been 2 weeks and it won’t stop - we finally trashed this and gave them regular chick food before it killed them. Wish this could of worked but it def didn’t.

Quality didn’t seem there

When it arrived, was mostly powder, not crumble. Found something better, with everything in it for much less for 100lb bag, at local mill. quality top notch at mill,
