Would this fit securely on metal railing?

The arm extends 13 in from the deck rail and has an 11 lb. weight limit. Its sturdy metal construction is powder-coated in a black weather-resistant finish. The Deck Hook fits onto horizontal railings up to 2 in thick to conveniently hang bird feeders and plants. Simply clamp the hook onto your deck rail by tightening the hand knob, with no tools needed.

I ordered the wrong thing for my deck railing, but it is strong and well built

I did not look closely at how this attached to the deck and so am not able to use it because if how my deck is constructed. But if this is good match for your deck

Works well

Expensive for what it is, but we've found it very effective in keeping squirrels off the feeder. They try to climb on the stem and hook, but slide down.
