I was really excited to try Muenster Perfect Balance Chicken Meal Recipe with Ancient Grains Dry Dog Food. At first, it seemed appealing—smelled good and had a flavor Milo appeared to enjoy. However, I can’t help but wonder if our bag was older or stored improperly before it reached us, as the quality didn’t seem as vibrant after the first couple of days. We practice open feeding and placed this food alongside Milo’s regular brand. After two days of sampling, he went back to eating only his usual food. Unfortunately, it just didn’t win him over. The concept is great—healthy ingredients, suitable for dogs of all life stages—but in our case, it fell short. I wish it had worked out, but we won’t be switching.

Dog LOVED this food!

This product arrived as we were leaving for our holidays so I didn't want to take a chance on upsetting stomachs until we returned home. I opened the bag this morning,

This product arrived as we were leaving for our holidays so I didn't want to take a chance on upsetting stomachs until we returned home. I opened the bag this morning, and had my Lab so close to me, nose in the air and tail wagging ... he was very excited to sample something new! The first thing I noticed is there is no self closing method on the bag. This won't be a problem for most people but with arthritis, clips are hard to manipulate, so that made me a little sad. When I looked inside, I saw that the kibble pieces were very small. This is probably better for digestion, but I use kibble instead of treats on our walks so need them bigger, for both the arthritic hands and the dog taking them from my fingers. Next, I scooped up a small amount and my dog's reaction was fantastic ... he was so excited! I wish I could have recorded it!! I am sure my dog would give this food a six star rating but he relies on me to get it to him and I need bigger kibble and self sealing bag if possible!

My two pups loved this food. I loved that it contains prebiotics, probiotics, and postbiotics to support my pup’s gut health. I also really liked that it is made with ancient grains like sorghum and flaxseed, and gluten-free. I noticed that after a week or so on this food, my dogs energy levels were improved. Very pleased with this food!

I am always trying to find the best options for my dog because he’s my baby. I know that giving him this food he’s sure to get the nutrients he needs which is especially important since he’s now a senior dog.

My pup did enjoy the food though, she’s more of a chunks of real chicken lover more than just a regular kibble type. I wish there was more real chicken ingredients as opposed to chicken meal though. Over all a good food though and my dog did like it.

We tried this with two of our dogs. One who is ate it as well as her usual food (intermittently) and the other won’t touch it. He is typically the food motivated

This food impressed me from the moment I opened the bag. The aroma was pleasant, which is not the case with other brands. The dogs all loved it. They were served it dry as a snack and also as an add-in with some canned food. They gobbled it all up The kibble was small enough for the two mini poodles and not too small for the medium poodle mix. I think this food would please anyone with doggos. I'd be happy to recommend it.

While my dogs eat this food, this does not make them run for their food dishes. My picky Boston terriers eat it, but it’s definitely not their favorite. It’s round little pieces of food which one would think is great. Maybe if it had pieces of real chicken in it it would be a bigger hit!
