The pressure mounts ended up cracking the drywall, which was a bummer. The gate was also a little "sticky" to open, but it works well enough. We ended up getting

Broken twice

So disappointed. Received item and it came broken on the bottom of the door where it connects to the frame like a hinge. Requested a replacement and the replacement

So disappointed. Received item and it came broken on the bottom of the door where it connects to the frame like a hinge. Requested a replacement and the replacement came broken in the same place. Its ashame because the door seems sturdy enough but with that piece broken, there is no way to use the door. Customer service was excellent. 1 star is purely based on the product, packaging and shipping as I am not sure at what point this became broken but they really should foam pack the bottom of the gate. It has no packaging what so ever. Just put in the box as is.

Initially thought it was broken but found this note on the manufacturer’s site: Please note: "When you unpack this gate you will notice that it is not square. This is normal and the gate is not damaged. It is manufactured at a pre-set angle so when it is installed properly in the opening, it will maintain the correct amount of tension and prevent it from being pushed out of the opening under normal use. Please read and follow the instruction manual carefully."

Quality construction, ease of installation

I had to use one extension to fit the doorway, and by leaving the bar out of the extention, it left enough room for the cat to enter/exit and not get trapped by

The gate is perfect for separating dogs that we foster. Do yourself a favor and get your own screws, the one supplied are so soft they strip and bend easily. Otherwise
