Which way does the door open??

Rotate the knob downward on the gate stopper to determine the direction the gate door will swing. The gate opens in both directions when the gate stopper is not rotated. To fully lock, lower the gate stopper to the locked position on both sides of the gate.
The hallway opening is 39". Would this fit with the pressure mounts extended?

Nice quality gate, but didn't keep our puppy confined!

Our 4 month old puppy was able to climb/jump over this gate we installed in our kitchen doorway! We left him in the kitchen with the gate closed, went upstairs, and the next thing we knew he was trotting up the stairs! We tested this out 3 times, and each time he was able to get over the gate! Chewy was great and refunded the amount directly to our cc.

Solid gate

The gate is pressurized and holds firm within my doorframe. Opening and closing it are easy. It will also stay open for the times I don't need to use it.

Porch gate

I know this is meant for indoor use, but we needed something that would prevent a guest dog from running off the porch if he slipped past when the door was open. At home, he can just go out, and he's safe. We live on a busy street, and I didn't want to risk it. My two are trained not to go out without permission. He's a Yorkie, and in the past, he hopped the portable gate type. This one is taller, and there are no footholds for him to climb. The rails are too close together for him to slip through. This gate did the trick. There were no successful escape attempts. Although he doesn't stay often, I will keep it up and see how long it lasts. We live in PA, so our weather goes both extremes, and we get a lot of rain and snow. At the moment, I'd recommend this gate if in a similar predicament. I can't say how it will hold up long-term or with a bigger, stronger breed.

I love this gate!

This was a perfect fit for the doorway. I needed to keep my puppy from wondering into an area she is not allowed to be in. It was easy to install and use. No tools needed. I am now looking for a gate that will fit a 59" entry way. I love this product.

Excellent Gate!

I highly recommend this gate. It’s sturdy, well-constructed, easy to install, and very effective at keeping a fast-growing collie puppy form escaping. There are a few parts vulnerable to chewing but it seems impossible to avoid that and the plastic parts are minimal.
