Will this gate allow a medium sized Pomeranian to pass thru the small opening? Trying to find one that will allow him to escape into his safe space the the other two very big dogs start getting rowdy.

This gate includes two extensions so the gate may fit openings from 29.75 – 40.5 inches wide and is 31 inches tall.

Would you be able to use this between a wall and a banister at the bottom of stairs?

This gate requires a flat, even mounting surface for proper installation. If the banister is flat with approximately 3 inches of surface area, this gate will work. If the banister is rounded or more narrow than 3 inches, this gate cannot be installed.

Easy to set up - high quality

Very easy to put together, this gate is well made, looks really nice perfect for the cats and the Dog, and has extra security in the door that I didn't know about

Very easy to put together, this gate is well made, looks really nice perfect for the cats and the Dog, and has extra security in the door that I didn't know about (you have to push the button AND lift to open the door) I'm really impressed by the quality and it's priced very reasonably. I am satisfied with this purchase 100%

There's apparently no quality control at all by the manufacturer

The gate I received is defective. The side pieces where you're supposed to install the bolts that adjust the width of the gate and hold it in place are not threaded

I gave this gate a 4 star rating because it was a bit tricky putting together. Actually, had my husband help (yes....we are still married...lol). Our cat uses the walk thru which is opened all the way. If you have a small dog this walk thru will work but double check the measurements.

Pet gate with cat opening

Sturdy gate

This was a good pick for me. Guest dog is staying for the week and I did not want her to have access to the rooms that have 2 cats and 1 African Gray parrot.

This was a good pick for me. Guest dog is staying for the week and I did not want her to have access to the rooms that have 2 cats and 1 African Gray parrot. The cats can wander freely with the gate but the dog stays on her side of the gate. I had a little trouble with the assembly but I am not mechanically inclined. I was able to install it and it works well so far. I like that I can keep the gate open when it is not needed to block out the dog. I am happy with my purchase.
