This is a decent dog bed/car seat. The seatbelt slides into two wide elastic belts on the back of the bed, which doesn't feel as secure as I would like. That said,

This is a decent dog bed/car seat. The seatbelt slides into two wide elastic belts on the back of the bed, which doesn't feel as secure as I would like. That said, my dog (a 6-lb Yorkie) seems to like the plush comfort of the bed, and the sides are high enough to make him feel secure. I also like the interior leash-like connector that hooks to his harness, which keeps him from climbing out and over into my lap.

I looked at about a hundred car seats & decided this one would work best for our puppy. It keeps him from moving around too much in the back seat & he appears to be adjusting to it pretty well. It was a little bit pricey, but I am sure we will have it for a long time. It seems to be a fairly safe & secure way to travel with him on our road trips so far.

Coco is a rescue that I adopted a few months ago and we were facing a long car trip. She was nervous about riding in a car from the get-go. When I found the Nan bed pet car seat I knew this would be the closest thing to the bed that she has at home and loves so much. And this car seat is beyond all my expectations. Having this Nan bed on the long car trip made all the difference. I had a relaxed, calm, and happy pup. She stayed put in her seat, and the Nan bed was securely fastened via the car seat belt and never budged. I love it and so does Coco.
