My cats (seniors and adults) can be picky about accepting new wet foods so I was interested to try this Natural Balance variety pack to see how the 3 limited ingredient flavors were received. Chicken and green pea went over well and was a good pate consistency; duck and green pea less so but it was also a new protein for them; salmon and green pea rated lowest for interest and had a runny consistency so a no-go. Rating is based on the chicken and green pea since that met their picky standards.

I love the amount of variety in the pack. I’ve got some particularly picky girls and it’s hard to find a wet food that’s good quality and has something all of them

I love the amount of variety in the pack. I’ve got some particularly picky girls and it’s hard to find a wet food that’s good quality and has something all of them will enjoy. The food being limited ingredients is helpful, especially when you’re dealing with special diets and allergies. I will say the duck did not go over as well as the other flavors, 1 for 3 on flavor approval from my girls. Overall, good food and good variety

I’m of mixed opinions about this food. When I opened the first can it had a very mushy and loose consistency, not at all well packed together like most pate foods

I’m of mixed opinions about this food. When I opened the first can it had a very mushy and loose consistency, not at all well packed together like most pate foods. All cans have had that same appearance…. Giving it the benefit of the doubt, I fed it to my cats. Some went at it with gusto, others would hardly touch it. It didn’t smell bad or anything, I think it was just the peas in the mix they didn’t like. Overall, I’d have to say it’s a decent food, I’m just giving it four stars because some of my animals were so hesitant about it.
