Works for my Fat Cat
By IslandMama on Jan 24, 2021
My big tabby (28 lbs!) has a hard time losing weight because my other cats don't need to lose weight and need to eat regular food. However, I put Fat Cat into his bowl on the floor, and place the other cats' food on the counter top. He isn't crazy about the taste of Fat Cat (he doesn't like salmon), but he is losing weight. I like that the food is balanced in nutrition.

The greatest low cal cat food
By FatCatMom on Dec 15, 2020
My vet has politely told me my cats are overweight (one by 5 lbs, the other by more), and as they are now seniors, that becomes more of a health issue. She also recommended that I not feed them grain free food, but that staying on kibble was alright. So I spent 2 hours combing through Chewy's inventory and found this food. Good reviews but no small sizes. I took a big breath and ordered it, along with another low fat food for seniors. I don't know what they've done to this food, but my cats LOVE it. With some portion control on my part, they don't free feed anymore, and they are THRILLED with this food. Two cats, neither liked taste.
By KimK on Jan 1, 2021
Both household cats rejected. They’re usually fed Natural Balance Green Pea and Chicken. When mixed together, they picked out the chicken and left this. Will not purchase this flavor again.

Food for fat cats
By Nana on Jan 1, 2021
I purchased the Fat Cat dry kibble for my elderly overweight cat based on a recommendation. My funny floofer loves it. I recently adopted/rescued a younger cat and she likes it too! Winner!

Great Weight Loss Food
By jabhoyt on Oct 27, 2020
We had a cat that was about 25lbs. With this food, we were able to have out cat drop his weight to 16lbs. Only word of warning is: The cat will probably act hungry all the time. It can be upsetting, but if you must get the cat's weight down, this food will do it. We tried all the other weight reduction products, including prescription diets. Nothing worked like the Natural Balance Fat Cats food.

My fat cat loves this food. It must taste very good for diet food cause even my dog who is a picky eater will try to eat this over her own food!

Still Fat Cat
By Fatty on Oct 13, 2020
I have had my cat on this food for over a month, feeding only 1/8th cup twice daily, and he has lost nothing. Very disappointed.

FINALLY, a diet kibble my cats will eat!
By RomPep on Jun 25, 2020 Top 1000 Contributor
I don't know what Natural Balance has done to flavor their lo-cal food, but they've done something no other dry cat food I've tried has been able to do: design a diet kibble that both my cats will eat! Only one of them really needs the lo-cal stuff, but it's easier and cheaper to buy just one food instead of a different one for each cat (besides the fact, of course, that I can't always keep them out of each other's bowls). But before this one, it didn't seem to matter what brand I tried, they could smell a diet kibble a mile away, and wanted nothing to do with it. So I was thrilled when I tried this one, and they both ate it like it was regular kibble! Woo hoo! Kitty didn’t like it
By Hannah on Aug 30, 2020
I was so hopeful for this food, it has good reviews and ingredients. My chunky kitty is a bit picky, she will eat a bite or two if it’s the only food offered but you can tell she really doesn’t like it.

My 3 cats love it
By Fatcats on Jul 10, 2020
My 3 cats love the food. None of them are picky eater's though. I mainly bought it for my 1 overweight cat (17 pounds). He has been on it for about a month and a half now, no weight gain or loss. Time will tell if he will lose some weight.
