Is it safe for the dog to lick off of their skin after I apply it?

Natural Dog Company balms are 100% natural, safe, and edible. Their products will still work even if most of the balm is licked off. However, for best results, we advise using distractions to allow the balm time to absorb. Give your dog a long-lasting chew, a yummy treat, their dinner, or play with them for a few minutes until Skin Soother has had a chance to work its magic.
Can I also use it on their paws?

even works for the cat!

i have a pup who had an issue around her tail area. she kept licking, even after the issue had been resolved. so i resolved to find her a little help. she likes this balm ok, but doesn't lick it, and her tail area is so much less worried! i have a cat with nervous issues who pulls her hair out. she doesn't like the smell at all, so i will try it to ease her skin issues she's given herself. pleasant smelling, not too goopy to apply. chewy, as aleways, gives me prompt delivery to my online orders! (we don't have a brick and mortar locally, if there are any)

This is great

My pitbull has interdigital cysts in-between his paws,vet gave antibiotic cream but didn't help. I tried this,it works to alleviate pain,moisturizing the feet and pads and is compatible with the antibiotic cream I'm using. It has all the necessary ingredients to really heal a dog from a variety of different issues, from scraps to more intense issues.It rubs in easily and doesn't have a horrible smell.I will be buying more of this.

Great Product

We got this product because our dog obsessively licks. He licks so badly it causes sores on his tummy. We put a collar on him to stop the licking however his tummy is still bright red and it looks sore to me. We washed his tummy with doggie oatmeal shampoo dried him off and put the salve where all of the sore spots were. He was instantly calm, and he went to sleep, you know the kind of sleep where he feels safe and content. We are just so pleased with this. It clears up his tummy and calms his licking obsession. This is a good thing.

Helping my Boston!

We had some outside dogs carry a flea infestation into our yard and my dogs tail and chin became raw from him battling the itch. I ordered this balm and took him to my moms to escape the issue and have been using this consistently morning and night for about a week. I am seeing a big difference already and he is definitely healing!! And *bonus* this stuff smells incredible!!!

It works!

My dog was burned and like any burn victim, she needs lotion applied to her healed wound. I wanted an all natural, doggy safe lotion/moisturizer for her. I found this product and apply it twice daily to her skin like the directions say and it works great! It smells soooo good too! I’m very pleased with this natural doggy lotion and will be sticking with this product for her long term.

Didn't work for my pup

Was really excited to receive this skin soother. My dog is older and battled skin issues along with Pancreatitis for a few years now. I read other reviews and really thought this would help. The reviews sounded like the same problems with the red skin under the front legs and licking and chewing the belly. We have been to the vet frequently and tried different meds along with making her food which has only helped some. She still had flare ups. Applied this a few times and it seemed to upset her system. She was sick and not eating well. Quit using until she felt better and tried again but only used a small amount in a few places. Once again digestive upset and not eating. I do think it's worth a try as I liked that it was all natural. I know some pets are sensitive to certain oils so this might be the case for my dog. Will continue to search for a natural alternative but had to take her back to the vet for more shots for now.

Seen results almost immediately

We bought this when our German Shepard started licking sore spots on his stomach. Tried different powders but nothing seemed to work. When my wife first applied this King slept for 2 hours. Within 3 days all the redness was gone and we stopped using it a week later. Highly recommend this product because of how well it worked for Kings stomach.

Wonderful product!

This stuff works, its good for hotspots, dry cracked skin, etc. I have used it for years and will continue to do so. This company's other products are great as well.

Work Great

My pittie like to play and run in woods. His belly got scratch and a few ant bits. Noticed a difference after one use.
