This variety contains approximately 38% Protein content on an as fed basis (41.5% on a dry matter basis), 1.21% Phosphorus content on an as fed basis (1.33% on a dry matter basis) and 25% Carbohydrate content on an as fed basis (27.5% on a dry matter basis).

To many fillers

The cats love it, sadly they are unable to read ingredients on the label. As cats are obligate carnivores, I expect the majority of ingredients to be meat based

The cats love it, sadly they are unable to read ingredients on the label. As cats are obligate carnivores, I expect the majority of ingredients to be meat based. That said, 38% protein is not great. There are a ton of veggies and fruits, neither of which cats require. Listing 38% Protein, and then stating that 88% of that 38% is from premium meat sources, is quite a slippery way of saying “mostly not meat”. That said - the cats love it. While it will never be their primary food, it would have no issue giving it as treats. They really enjoy it and find it quite palatable.

I free feed dry food to my multi-cat group as a supplement to the canned food they get twice daily so it’s not typically something they get excited about. However when I opened this bag they came over to inspect and got very excited. They dove in and were very interested in it and ate it with exuberance. I placed this food out with their regular dry and this was chosen repeatedly and eaten with gusto. There was no stomach upset or digestive issues with this food and the cats really enjoyed it.

I was excited to try this with my cat and I thought he would be thrilled since he has been on the same kibble for years. When I first introduced it he dug straight into it. However, when I checked later he had eaten his old kibble and mostly left the new in his bowl. He is on sensitive stomach food. Not sure why he didn’t approve. He wasn’t sharing. He did eat some of it.

Everything about this food looked positive...high protein (38%), gluten-free, no corn, wheat or soy, and has prebiotics and probiotics. It’s also all natural, so no synthetic vitamins. The size of the kibble is also smaller than most that I’ve seen before, so good for cats of all sizes and ages. I really wanted to love it, and I did, but unfortunately my two cats did not, hence the reduction in stars.
