Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.
100% Ponderosa Pine.
For best odor control, fill box with two inches of Nature's Logic Cat Litter and scoop and dispose of solid waste daily. Change entire box as needed. Nature's Logic Cat Litter is biodegradable and flushable in small amounts of 2oz. or less. Nature's Logic Cat Litter can also be composted where it will naturally decompose into mulch.
To introduce your cat to Nature's Logic Cat Litter, pour a two-inch layer into a clean box. Cover this layer with a thin layer of the litter currently used to acclimate your pet to the change. After several litter box changes, your cat will start using Nature's Logic Cat Litter alone.
This pine litter is awful! For 3 years I've paid a premium for a natural, corn litter (same size and use instructions as typical clay litters). But one day I reached my limit for tolerance of the tracking of litter "crumbs" being tracked through my house! Other cat owners have repeatedly told me to switch to pine litter. Pine may indeed work, but this one is AWFUL. The pine pellets vary drastically in size. Some are about an inch long, but MOST of them are teeny tiny crumbs - exactly the same size as regular kitty litter! So, those pieces call through the sifter (which means I was throwing out the dirty pine "dust" and a lot of the fresh litter pieces!) and STILL get tracked throughout my house! It was a total waste of my money. Again, pine litter itself doesn't deserve a bad reputation, but the Nature's Logic brand does! Waste of your money!
For my rabbits, this is wonderful. It's less expensive and does the job well. Keeps odor to a minimum! I change the entire litter bin out weekly and I have not found the more expensive pine pellets to be any better! I'm very happy for this product... and for the price!
I have 2 cats and two litter boxes. Neither cat would use the box with the pine litter. The other box had corn litter.I went back to a regular non clumping litter. I gave almost the entire bag of pine litter away.
We ordered this when the product was sent bi-monthly and was lost in shipping. Chewy customer service did a great job with this issue. The product smells nice and breaks down into sawdust with moisture. My special needs cat had no problems using this product, but his long hair did pick up the sawdust. I had to brush him out every time he needed to use the litter box.
I have used other pine litters. I have found them to be less messy and much better at covering odors. Unfortunately, they can be pricey. Logic was cheaper so I tried it. While I can not say it is more messy, I can say that it's odor supression is poor.
Buy pine pellets regularly for our cat but this kind is smaller pellets which get dusty quickly and makes our car sneeze a lot which never happens. Would stick to different kind bigger pellets.
Looks like they are carrying a new pine litter now. The pellets are half the size and they do seem to have less dust than the other one. I like them so far!
This litter is similar to the other brands I've tried, but the pellets are all smaller than what I typically see. Seem cut in half/thirds making more of them fall through the sifting box prematurely.
Cat loves it; it doesn't smell, even after a couple of days, and doesn't track all over the place.Best for us!
This litter is fine except for the strong pine smell! My cat doesn't even want to stay in the litter box long enough to finish pooping (let alone cover the poop), so they jump out and get poop on the floor. I definitely do not recommend this litter for cats. I will be sticking with paper-based litter from now on. I have seen other reviewers using this for barn animals and that seems like a good use. Outdoors, with taller animals that have more distance between their noses and the litter, it would work well.
