Why is there no taurine listed in the ingredients?

Answer by Krakmonke9Aug 14, 2021
Many dog food manufacturers don’t add taurine to their ingredients because it’s not recognized by AAFCO as a required nutrient (since dogs can produce their own taurine). In particular, Nature’s Logic doesn’t add any chemically synthesized amino acids, vitamins or minerals. However, if you check out their website, they show the analyzed levels of amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. For this product, taurine is listed at 0.13 % on a dry matter basis.

A neighbor who is a dog trainer and fur baby mom researched dog kibble looking for what she thought would be the best for her older dog. She claims the quality of this food is superior so I decided to take her advice. My coonhound loves it and I feel good feeding it to her.

Disappointed, something changed

Started using several flavors of Nature's Logic Canine Meal Feast last December of 2024. For the first several months our three dogs stools were perfect, very nice. Then about April this year all three started getting soft, mushy stools with bouts of occasional diarrhea. We finally switched to another brand and all three dog's stools have improved within two days and look better than they have for last several months. I don't know what happened, but this dog food is no longer suitable. Too bad.

This gave my dogs diarrhea. I purchased mine from a local pet store and wanted to let other pet owners know. I wasn't sure if it was the food at 1st but after taking them off it twice and worming them as soon as I started feeding the nature's logic they got sick again. Never trusting this brand again not worth my dogs health and Plus money down the drain because I can't do anything with it but throw it away.

Disappointed

My dog didn’t seem to be excited about it, I didn’t realize it was a kibbles brand. I will try another brand for the next order.
