I have three dogs. All of them have some sort of digestive/food issue. One of them has IBD, one has acid reflux and generally a weird tummy, and the other has a slight chicken intolerance. For the longest time I had to feed them all different foods, including expensive prescription food from the vet. Unfortunately one of the foods I was buying seems to be having supply issues, and I wasn’t able to find it, so I tried this because the ingredients seemed comparable. I slowly transitioned my dog over, and during that process her sister was also very interested in this food, so I gave her a little as well. Eventually I was able to transition two of my dogs completely to this food alone, with no issues! What’s better, they both seem to love the taste, and they are very picky eaters. I’m in the process of transitioning my other dog from the prescription diet to this and so far he has been tolerating it very well. Even if I can only ever have him on a half and half mix of this food and the prescription stuff, it’ll still save me a ton of money. TL;DR, easy on the tummies of three dogs with different digestion issues, and they seem to love the taste.
My dogs prefer smaller bites..I was hoping this would be one I could add into rotation, but that’s not going to happen. My senior dog doesn’t seem to be able to eat it..he just pushes the pieces around and eats very little..my small dog only eats about 5-6 pieces..if you have a mixture of different sized dogs or ones that prefer smaller bites then this is not the food for them..too large..
I needed a slightly cheaper food for my two big dogs. They do not need grain free and this is NOT grain free, but is not full of corn and fillers I have to scoop out of the yard later. The dogs eat it, aren't farty, etc. Two observations - there is a lot of powdery crumbs especially as you get to the bottom and the Lamb smell is really nasty when I am scooping the food. The dogs love it and they don't stink afterwards, but I'm trying the chicken flavor this time to see if it doesn't stink like that when I open the bag to serve it.
This brand is very affordable and a much higher quality than your standard Pedigree or Purina. The packaging is secure and always arrives free of rips or holes. The food is great and my dogs love it!
My dog is rather finicky, but she loves this Nature's Recipe dry food! And the price is very competitive with even local outlets where I normally buy her food. Highly recommend!
Hoping it happened in transit, but unfortunately, one of our 2 bags of food delivered was popped open. While our dogs thoroughly enjoyed cleaning up the spilled contents, as luck would have it, this is the bag we didn't open first to fill their container. None the less, we will figure it out with some duck tape I'm sure and will continue to use Chewy, y'all are the best around!!
I chose the Lamb and Rice blend recently because it costs much less than the Salmon, Sweet Potato, and Pumpkin which had been our regular kibble for a while. My dogs really seem to enjoy the Lamb and Rice food, and so far, the results in the back yard look healthy.
I’ve been ordering science diet sensitive stomach turkey and rice for a couple years now and I’ve called many times about the cans coming in dented. I received my two cases and most of them are dented so I’m very disappointed I thought that maybe somebody would’ve came up with a solution by now. I sure hope this gets resolved because I will do business elsewhere if I cannot get cans that are in good condition.
My dog loves this food wouldnt eat more expensive brands
