These chews are formulated for cats only, however the recipe for dogs is suitable for dogs of all breeds and sizes.

Will this help with excessive meowing and if it does are they any side effects whether it be mild or otherwise?

These chews are made to reduce stress, tension, and anxiety in your furry friend which may lessen anxiety induced habits such as excessive meowing. These chews use melatonin to promote rest and relaxation, so your cat may experience mild sedative-like side effects. Be sure to not exceed 4 soft chews in a 12-hour period.

It calms down my kitten.

I have a 5 month old kitten. She is a handful. When she gets wild and runs all over the house I give her half a tablet and she calms down for a while.
