What size dog does large fit? Breed?
Answer by ChewyOct 20, 2020
To determine the right size for your dog, it's necessary to measure their leg circumference 2 inches above and below the hock joint center. If the dog happens to be in between sizes, it's then recommended to select the smaller size. For the complete sizing chart, please refer to the photo below or click the “Size” tab, next to the “Instructions” tab, just under the product photos.

How does this help with an ACL injury?
Answer by ChewyFeb 20, 2020
This Rear Leg Brace is designed to provide your canine companion with rear leg, hock and ankle support. Due to your pet's injury, we'd recommend consulting with your veterinarian to ensure the safest recovery option.

Is it for torn ACL
Answer by ChewyJun 15, 2020
These braces are recommended by veterinarians and can be used post-surgery, to help heal an injury, and can be beneficial for pup’s with knee issues or a torn ACL or CCL.

Can these be used for an older dog(13)? How long should they stay on during the day?
Answer by ChewyMar 02, 2020
Neoally Rear Leg Dog Brace can be used for all ages of dogs to support and protect rear legs. We recommend speaking to your vet to see how long is recommended for your individual pet's needs.

Got the job done

My dog has unfortunately recently been diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy and is struggling with the coordination of her back legs. She’s also a very anxious pup and was not happy when I tried to put in harder braces. These were flexible enough and provided just enough support that she was able to tell she was knuckling and correct before stepping on it. It also reduced the severity of the knuckling from whole foot to the toes. We are hoping this helps her gain stability, confidence and reduces further injury to herself.

Medium usefulness

My dog has skinny, longish legs. The correct width around seemed too short for him. They also did not seem to stay tight very well, and would sag down around his ankles even if I tried to fasten them snugly. This might have been partly because of the total height of the leg brace, I'm not sure. It was somewhat helpful for a few minutes, but not really helpful enough to recommend (primarily for the reasons above).

Exactly what he needed dor support

Our vet's diagnosis of a torn CCL, a result of weakness in that leg after surgical removal of a ruptured fatty tumor, had us looking for solutions other than surgery on a 14 yr old terrier with separation issues. We use both the supports on his hind legs and they make s huge difference. After a week, we can see the injured leg not collapsing inward during his short bathroom walks. We have limited his diet, to bring his weight from 41 pounds to 37, and will continue until we get to a healthy 31. He hets fresh beef leg bone slices from our butcher, to give his mind something, while his walkies time is limited. He enjoys the supports, doesn't bite at them, and we take them off late in the evening, for the night. I do recommend following the easy written instructions to get them properly in place. Thanks, Chewy!

Did not work for me

I took these to the Dr.needing some advice. My dog needs a Stifel brace instead due to the injury being higher up. I read someone’s review and it seemed it worked for her.

Order size down when measuring

My Lilly went for her vet appt and getting out she tore her ACL. Vet says try to heal w/o surgery. I ordered these braces measured like the video shows Lilly is 80 lbs Pitty so I ordered the size in Large. Got them today and they are too big. Called Chewy and the nice girl gave a refund and re-ordered the Medium and told to donate and gave her best wishes to Miss Lilly. We Love You Chewy Thank You

Product has been downgraded

This is the second pair of these that we have ordered for our dog Lily. The first pair was made of a heavy fabric that the Velcro adhered to. They also had a stabilizing bar sewn in to provide support. We used them for her for almost two years This new pair is made from cheap polyurethane with no stabilizing support. We tried them once and put them in a drawer.

110 lb American Bulldog

I purchased the xl for my American Bulldog since she is a big girl but these braces slid right off her. Was thinking about getting one size smaller but not sure if it will even help her. Quantity seems a bit cheap.

Need to return

Not as I had hoped because the material is thin, and I had hoped for more quality in this product. It is not as substantial as it appears in the picture online.

How can I return, too small

Haven't been able to use it. It is too small. I ordered a Large but s/h ordered the XL. His issue is a partial tear in his right knee, and we are watching him closely, leash walks, etc, and have him on a diet. I'm wondering if this will even help him. I could not find how to return this item either full credit, or replace with the Xtra Large. Please advise

Not for us

I got the news that my 11 year old lab has tears in his ACLs. Surgery seems too risky and may have a negative impact on his life so I looked into these. I measured his legs about 30 times to make sure I got the right size. We went with medium, but they were too large and kept slipping down his legs. They would only stay up if I had them so tight, my dog's paws would swell. Contacted Chewy and they gave me a refund so I figured I would try small (I really wanted these to work for us). They were too small. A few of the velcro straps wouldn't stay stuck and they rubbed the top of his hock raw. It just wasn't meant to work for us.
