I love the one chew option and was thrilled to try it. Unfortunately my dog hates this new option and will not eat it unless I break it up and smother it in peanut butter. He also seems sluggish and won’t eat for a couple days after. I might have to go back to the hartgard and NexGard separately.
I gave my dog his chew yesterday morning. We were up half the night. My dog was restless and shivering. He had diarrhea once in the house and had to go out a few times during the night. This morning he ran out to go and now he seems fine. He's playing like normal. Dog is 1 1/2 year old GSD. I've used the regular Nexgard with no problem. This is the first time I've used the Nexgard Plus.
Our vet had our 2 dogs on separate heartworm/other internal worm medicine and flea/tick preventative. When I saw that Nexgard Plus did all the things the other two did, I ordered it and it's been so much easier to keep up with; and averages out to the same price as buying all the others.
Ordered this instead of the ordinal one that i always order. We will see if it works or not. My puppies had an upset stomach after this one but called my vet and they said just to monitor but nothing to worry about yet.
Seems to be doing the job, but my dog absolutely hates them. I have to break it into very small pieces and hide each piece in part of a pill pocket. I'm sure they'd be fine for a less picky dog.
I have finally found a monthly heartworm medicine that my dog likes. I did not have to hide this medicine in anything for him to eat it. He just took it out of my hand.
I like the fact that all the extra protections are in this one pill. I want to keep my Seeing Eye service dog as protected as possible.
Not sure how my dog feels about this but I’ve only tried it once so after the next couple of months then I’ll see how he likes it
The price is too high. I will go back to Heartguard and Nexguard when finished with Nexguard Plus.
It’s nice to have one pill for big dogs Flea. Tick. & heart guard This would have been 4 pils for her weight
