Description

Who says learning can't be fun? With the Dog Tornado Plastic Interactive Dog Toy, you can stimulate your pup's brain and have a blast at the same time! The unique and interactive toy has four layers of rotating discs. There are compartments where treats can be hidden in three of those layers. Fido has to learn to rotate the different layers in different directions with his nose or paw in order to find the hidden goodies. Increase the degree of difficulty by placing the white plastic blocks in some of the compartments. He'll love the reward of a job well done, and you'll love watching him put on his doggy thinking cap!

Key Benefits
  • 4 layers of rotating discs provide mental stimulation to keep your pet happy and healthy.
  • Difficulty level 2 makes this game challenging for your pup, so he may not get it on the first try.
  • Hide treats or kibble in different sections of the puzzle or under the bone blocks to further increase difficulty.
  • Enhances your relationship with your dog by rewarding him with the treats or kibble he loves.
  • Suitable for dogs of any age or size, so you can have a blast with any pup.

Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.

Instructions

HOW TO PLAY: Place treats or kibble in compartments of the base. Cover some compartments with bones. The more covered compartments, the harder the game will be! Let the games begin! Show your dog how the game works and encourage them to find treats. Dogs are smarter than you think. Sometimes we just need to teach them! Leave some compartments uncovered and show your dog how it spins.

FROZEN PUZZLE: Mix some canned/wet dog food or raw food with water, pour some of the mixtures in the hollows, or place a small piece of sausage or a tasty treat in each of the hollows, pour a little water, put the game in the freezer and let it set. Perfect for energetic dogs, hot weather, or just extended fun.

EASY TO CLEAN: To wash your dog’s Dog Tornado, simply remove all treats/kibble and hand wash with warm soapy water, rinse clean and dry. Fill again for more fun!

  • Great product with a bit more difficulty (for some dogs)

    By on

I really like this food puzzle! The bones can be placed to cover up treats and also make it so the puzzle cannot spin as much adding difficulty. There are 3 layers for treats and options to make it easy or more difficult depending on your dog. Some dogs may pick it up faster than others but overall the quality is great and I liked how there are options for increasing difficulty.

  • Too easy for my dog, but great for puppies

So my 3 year old pitbull had this puzzle figured out in 1 minute flat and was in the process of trying to take it apart (which I must say it is quite sturdy and tough, she can destroy just about anything)! She is currently on rest due to a tendon injury so we are trying to find something that replaces her love of ball fetching. I figured I'd try this out. It was much too easy for her. So I gave it to a friend that has a 7 month old puppy and it was just perfect for him. He hasn't totally figured it out yet so I think my friend will get a lot of use out of it.

  • Think out of the box

Yes, it's easy for any dog to figure out. It is just something to keep them occupied for 5-10 minutes if you add peanut butter or some type of substance to the toy. A tiny amount in several areas of the trays with a small piece of dog food keeps them interested. My dogs are about 50lbs and are, of course, excited when they see me filling this. Only one dog at a time gets to play with it to avoid fights but they all love it. I do wish it had several more levels of trays.

  • Dog Lov'n Lady

    By on

My dogs love this thing. It's fun for some and great for my dog that eats to fast. This is how I feed him. It has to have a good difficulty level for him. More food covers might help with that. He hasn't destroyed it yet.

  • What a great toy!

Our Shepherd really loves it when we feed her dinner in the Hound Dog Tornado! She takes her time and works at finding the kibble hidden under the little white bones. She’s getting fed and being challenged at the same time! I highly recommend it!

  • Works great for my guy, Fritz

    By on

We have two, 4-yr old dachshunds and our boy loves this one. We use the bones to create jams, so it can't spin open to uncover other slots until he clears the bones. I was surprised at how rough he was with it to get the bones out (lots of pawing) and he upended it once despite it being incredibly study, stays on the floor (not a lot of scooting around). It holds quite of bit of kibble in each pocket. The product isn't too tall for a dachshund and their curiosity is challenged. This and the bones are easy to wash and dry.

  • Great Toy for all my dogs

    By on

I have a Yorkie, a French Bull Dog and a Doberman mix. They all love this and play with it together. The Doberman moves most of the trays and the other two reap the benefits. They do allow him to get most of the treats. Keeps them busy and happy!

  • Well Constructed

    By on

I give this puzzle 5-stars because it is well constructed; not for its difficulty level. Our standard poodle walked up to it and immediately turned the sections to retrieve the treats - the first time presented to him.

  • Good challenge

    By on

Maya a boxer mix loves these interactive toys challenging her to find the treats. She has persistence to get every last one. This is a very good toy for such an energetic and determined dog as Maya. I put some of her normal portion of kibbles to make her work for her food as well to keep her weight under control.
