I bought this snuffle mat for my dog, Mango. I like to redirect her attention when I return from wherever I've been so that she doesn't go all manic on me. I was giving her a lick mat with peanut butter, but I wanted something else as well, something that would engage her brain a bit more. Nose work is the ticket, and this snuffle mat is perfect for that. She loves live chickens (there are some in our neighborhood) so I thought this bird was cute for her (not that she knows what it is, but still...). And she loves the game of searching for the bit of kibble and other treats I insert in the various folds and the pockets in the arms. It can be made easy with the arms open, as pictured, or more difficult with the arms velcro'd closed. I have other Nina Ottosson puzzle toys, and this one is a great addition. Love them all!

Had it coming apart 1st time using it

He is Australian Shepherd puppy so he has sharp little teeth. The food and treats didn’t just fall out but definitely not chew proof.

Nice and bright

I wouldn’t recommend. I have only used it a few times since I got it two months ago. My maltipoo has ripped it up, it’s not chew/rip proof. I have to stop now

My older dog was recently diagnosed with cognitive dysfunction. I got this to help engage his mind. I have a plastic interactive toy but he doesn’t like to play with it because it is hard and makes noise when the puzzle pieces move. This one is perfect for him because it is soft and there’s nothing that would scare him. He seems to really enjoy sniffing out the treats from the chicken’s belly. It seems to be well made too.
