Different Difficulty Levels

Forager Bowls and Mats offer different difficulty styles and sizes. The Meadow Ponds style is easiest, with colors that make food easy to see and meadows of shorter SoftSnout material to catch more food. The Meadow Natural style is intermediate, with colors that hide food better to mimic an outdoor foraging experience. For the most difficulty, choose the Forest style with no meadows or easy colors. The 12” x 18” mat is easy, while the 19” x 21” mat spreads the food out for a challenge.

Perfect enrichment for senior dogs who rely on their nose

Murphy, my 16-year-old JRT mix, absolutely loves this snuffle mat. He doesn’t wag his tail very often anymore, but when he’s “hunting” something, his little nubby tail moves - and when I put this on the floor in front of him, that nubber wiggles every time. Murphy doesn’t hear or see well, has no teeth, and isn’t the most stable on his feet, so he really relies on his nose. This mat is perfect for him. It keeps him engaged, gives him a job to do, and lets him use his strongest sense in a safe, gentle way. It’s also been great as a distraction when I take my younger dog for a walk, and on days when it’s too hot or too cold for our normal walks. I don’t use the drawstring feature, but it looks solid and well made. If you have a senior dog - or any dog who loves to sniff - this is a wonderful enrichment option. Highly recommend.

My lab mix has never been a really fast eater. She's 14yo now and starting to be less physically active, so I'm trying to find different ways to give her some mental

My lab mix has never been a really fast eater. She's 14yo now and starting to be less physically active, so I'm trying to find different ways to give her some mental exercise without adding extra food or treats. This mat is great! I give her half her food in her bowl and the other half on the snuffle mat and she'll go back and forth between the 2 for about 15-20 minutes. Then she'll drink some water and go back to sniff out any pieces that she missed. The extra mental work seems to be helping with her restlessness and sleepy better through the night.

Simple, but effective!

Our rescue kitty who we affectionately call “Sausage” is extremely food motivated and eats his dry food portions in about 30 seconds from a regular dish. This snuffle mat slows him down and takes him 3-5 minute plus a few bonus trips back to see if he missed any hidden pieces. For us it’s a 5 star product though I haven’t tried washing it yet which it will def require due to the “face plant in mat” effect. We ordered the intermediate mat and he figured it out in one try. Hope this helps!

Our poor girl is going through heartworm treatment which means no exercise or playtime. This is an awesome way for her to tire herself out safely by sniffing. She took to it immediately! I spread her breakfast kibble throughout and made sure it was nice and hidden. I recommend the most challenging one if your pet has very acute senses like my girl!

So fun for my dog!

Lola, my 14lb cockapoo absolutely loves this for mealtime. She only gets 1/4 cup (twice a day) so her meals used to go so fast. This slows her down quite a bit

Lola, my 14lb cockapoo absolutely loves this for mealtime. She only gets 1/4 cup (twice a day) so her meals used to go so fast. This slows her down quite a bit and feeds her need to forage. Different in design than other snuffle mats we have had this one can be pulled tighter making the bowl area smaller so they have to work at getting the food more. I like that it's washable as well!

He loves this!!

My mini-Bernedoodle LOVES this slow food bowl! I hide the kibble in the grass, and he enjoys looking for it. He likes this much better than a plastic slow-feeding

I even taught him to bring his “bowl” when he finishes and I tip it to release the 1 or 2 he couldn’t find. It is also much quieter than a plastic bowl and easier to clean than a slow feeder. I highly recommend this mat to anyone looking for a new solution for slow feeding.
