Questions & Answers

5 Customer Questions

What are the bird house size differences (amount of seed volume) between the four different choices?
Answer by ChewyDec 01, 2019
Each design holds approximately 5 pounds of bird seed.

Our bottom does not have screws... and the information says to remove the bottom for cleaning ... so how do we get the bottom off?
Answer by ChewySep 16, 2019
To remove the feeder tray, place the feeder on its side and gently tap on the tray so it slides through the opening slots. If it has screws, you will need to unscrew those first.

How do you fill this with bird seed?
Answer by ChewyJan 12, 2021
The green roof contains a lift-off chimney to make filling this feeder a breeze.

Will the plastic coloring fade in the sun? I had a different plastic feeder that was green and turned grey in the sun in just a few weeks.
Answer by ChewyJul 06, 2020
This feeder is made in the USA from durable, molded plastic to withstand winds, rain, and sunshine.

very cute little house

very cute little house. looks adorable in the yard. i purchased a shepherds hook from Lowes. i only gave 4 stars because the seed gets wet in the rain. it didnt dry out and fermented in the humidity. i still have it hanging in my yard but without seed for now. there is a lizard family who have moved in, they seem to like the view from the seed 'balcony'

Not a good product.

Cute design but it won’t stay closed. The top opens no matter how you try putting it back on so now they can’t get their seeds

Love them! Great little feeder for the money. I would definitely buy them again.

Nice feeder

I bought this to hang in a tree for squirrels to eat shelled peanuts. It's a little slippery for them and the blue jays but they've figured it out quickly and share with any other birds that come along. The chickadees have no problem perching on the feeder so birdseed would easily work here.. the top opening is fairly small,, the size of the chimney,, about 1.5 inch square opening. However, I used a yogurt container that I could squeeze the sides and was able to load peanuts easily. A funnel would work well, too

Cute feeders. Brighten up the yard but trays need frequent cleaning.

I replaced all my old, boring feeders with one of these. It was so neat, I have added 3 more of the other models. While there are slots in the seed trays for draining, I've found I have to manually remove wet seeds every few days, or it gets clogged up. Not a huge deal and may be as much about the seed mix I am using. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars. Still really like these!

Very Pretty

I had hoped the bottom tray would have been already attached but it wasn't. Two of the tabs were broken off so I had to figure out a way to attach the bottom tray to the top part but other than that very nice product.

Adorable and sturdy

This 'small' birdhouse holds more bird seed than you think! It's well constructed, sturdy and easy to refill (I recommend a funnel). It looks so cute in our garden I'm going to get more of these.

School is in session!

This looks so cute as our backyard cardinal perched on it! It does tend to get birdseed scattered everywhere below it (maybe a higher ledge around the base or a deeper “well” would fix this), but it’s adorable. The only thing that I would change is to have a solid piece on the bottom so it looks slightly more attractive if it’s hanging overhead.
