Marigold, when fed in small amounts, is safe for dogs. It is added to dog food due to its anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties. It is also a source of antioxidants and can add flavor.

What are the storage requirements once opened?

Food should be stored in it's own bag and placed in a cool dry place. Their bags feature a velcro closure system which makes it very easy to reseal the bag each time you use it. Kibble may also be frozen to preserve freshness.

Is Now fresh , low Ash content

Bad bag of food possible

The bag of Now Fresh I ordered and received in early July is possibly a bad bag. I just opened it this last week and both of my dogs are sick. One dog is just

The bag of Now Fresh I ordered and received in early July is possibly a bad bag. I just opened it this last week and both of my dogs are sick. One dog is just throwing up but he’s not eating as much of it, the other dog has diarrhea and after a $300 vet visit to help settle her stomach, I’ll be preparing a bland diet for them until a new bag can arrive. They are also checking her stool to make sure it’s not a parasite since we’ve had a lot of rain and I’ll know results tomorrow. I’ve ordered a new bag to see if they do better with that. I’m wanting to know if I can get a refund for this bag that is making them sick. Btw, I transitioned them slowly and appropriately through the first bag no problem, it’s this new bag that presented the problem.

Simply put, my dog has been eating it exclusively for the last 8 years, never has "accidents" in the house, almost never vomits, and is about as healthy as a dog can be. If "You are what you eat" is true, then her diet of Now Fresh dog food is the reason she's so healthy.
