The amount of food your dog needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Use our feeding chart as a guide, adjusting the quantity fed to achieve your dog’s ideal weight. We suggest feeding twice a day. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Regular exercise will help maintain a healthy body weight. Love, attention and tummy rubs should be given freely, as often as possible.
It’s important to slowly transition your pet to a new food so their system has a chance to adapt to the change. The transition period should be at minimum, ten days and could take upwards of two weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change:
Day 1 & 2: Feed 80% of your pet’s old food with 20% of the new food.
Day 3 & 4: Feed 60% of your pet’s old food with 40% of the new food.
Day 5 & 6: Feed 40% of your pet’s old food with 60% of the new food.
Day 7, 8 & 9: Feed 20% of your pet’s old food with 80% of the new food.
Day 10 & Forever: Feed 100% new food
I have been trying new foods as my dog is getting older she is becoming more picky. Most foods she will be excited about and then decide she’s bored. She had zero interest in this food and even refused to eat… as soon as I dumped her bowl and put a different type of food in it, she ate quickly. Not sure why but she won’t even try it.
Excellent food for my dog. he loves the food, and digesting system is doing good.
After reading all the reviews I thought for sure my girl would like this. The first 3 time, yes she did. Then wouldn't touch it again. But, she if very fussy. I can't seem to be able to find a food that she will eat. I have spent a small fortune trying different foods and have yet to hit on one that she really takes to. I have tried alternating different brands so she doesn't have the same thing morning and evening. Still doesn't make a difference. I am so frustrated. I have given away so much food it is ridiculous.
Why Nothing more to say. Nothing more to say. Nothing more yo say.
He doesn't like this food! Even when mixed with wet food, he spits it out.
My senior pups love it. I think it’s because it looks like the forbidden “cat food” at my moms house when we go visit. They seem to have solid, good looking poo’s from this as well.
I went through just about every toy and small breed dog food for my Yorkie before finding this one. She loves it! My senior beagle eats it too, along with senior canned dog food.
Our dogs like NOW food but this size are too small. Next i want buy normal size NOW foods.
This has been the best dog food for my two chihuahuas. When we were making the transition from puppy food to adult food, we had a hard time deciding which adult food to go with that didn't have a lot of added products and filler. We landed on this brand after reading the ingredient label and feeling confident enough that it was safe for both of them. (I like that I can pronounce the ingredients!) With one of our chihuahuas being 6 lbs and the other 3 lbs (full grown), this food is perfectly sized for both of them to eat and hasn't affected any digestion or caused belly upset for either of them. Even though I haven't come across this brand in our local pet stores, I'll continue to order through chewy based on this alone. A winner for our pups, for sure!
I have three small dogs. I bought this based off the ingredients. Honestly, my dogs will not eat it unless that is all they have at the end of the day. I have two that won’t touch it on several occasions and the food is still in the bowl at nightfall. I just save it until the next day hoping they will eat it. Now that the price is so expensive, I’m looking for a different brand and ordered a bag to try out before I go autoship.
