I took a chance!
I adopted a shelter dog and was given 5lbs of food with the dog. The dog would not eat the food. Purchased a bag of food that my decreased dog liked and that didn't work either. Checked with shelter who then told me the dog ate wet food. Bought this bone broth in chicken, turkey and another flavor and pour and mix one ounce in with his 2/3rds cup of food twice daily and my wonderful little 13 year old schnauzer absolutely loves it.
Solid Gold chicken broth
My dog wouldn't touch it
It sat in his bowl for days. Finally had to throw the food away.

ingredients and company i trust, results i believe
short version: great product, helps with hydration, meal incentive, stress, upset tummy, stores well, heed the serving directions on the package (i recommend starting at the smallest 1/4 cup and working up).
---
i love solid gold. i feed my kids orijen and they get solid gold's bone broth and instinct's frozen raw, freeze dried raw, and gravies mixed in or as treats. (all slowly integrated)
some background on my dog incase it applies to urs:
- endymion is a male, 7 year old, 45lb, border collie.
behaviour
- as per the breed, extremely active and play-motivated / a bit obsessive. that being said, he couldnt really care less about food unless its in a b-a-l-l. and even then once he wins the game of getting them out, he often doesnt want them.
- also by way of being so active, food is really important to keep him properly fueled! but he just... does not care. hes never cared about food, no matter how high value. ive tried a number of kibbles from brands like orijen, instinct, acana, solid gold, natures instinct, etc. high quality foods, with everything from home cooked meals, frozen animal meat and bone, human-grade, broth, gravy, can, etc. he just doesnt care. even fresh hunted venison!
health concerns
- his entire life hes had seemingly random tummy issues. runs, constipation, etc. hes also a but of stressy / nervous boi.
all of this makes it a bit of an ordeal just to get two meals in him. ive tried supplements, allergy food- everything.
(disclaimer: he goes to the vet regularly and for all checkups / vaccinations- blood panels / urine / stool etc. they say hes fine maybe just picky ha)
case
recently he had some really rough diarrhea and constipation, drooling nausea, tail tucked, clearly didnt feel good- so i stripped back his diet to only his kibble without treats or dental chews or mixers / toppers but the problem persisted. i tried this bone broth noting the great ingredients and the lavender and chamomile (which i have when my tummy hurts so worth a shot right?) and he evened out almost instantly! not only does it help him, but it perks his ears up for dinner!!
serving
i started w 1/4 cup for the whole day for about a week then moved up to 1/2 cup for the whole day. i personally recommend starting on a sliding scale like this, see how pup reacts! especially like the turneric or ginger ones- slow introductions are always best for doggy tums!
storage
i put the cap back on and stored the pouch for a week and on day 7 it was still good, he still liked it, and it still helped! i shake it before i pour it.
other products
just tried the beef + turmeric (hes got some sore joints now) and he ate the kibble he was previously refusing to touch (or even look at, haha!) i also ordered the turkey + ginger one.
other note
the broth is great when my pups tum isnt feeling good. who wants to eat while their nauseous? its a great idea and execution andddddd andandand it adds more hydration to their super dry kibble! thank u solid gold n chewy! love this product, really eased a lot of worries!
Good but doesn't last long
The package says good up to 7 days after opening in the fridge but my dog got a very upset stomach after 4 days in the fridge (his stomach was more upset the second I gave it to him before I realized it was the culprit). He loved it otherwise!

Two paws up.
As far as my dog is concerned he is IN LOVE. He would consume this instead of water every day, if I let him. He most definitely loves the flavor, the scent is plesent enough. As shown in photo he chose the broth over water time and time again. Even in the overwhelming Florida heat. We've had trouble getting him to hydrate in the past, so I'm relieved to know there's an alternative when needed. This would certainly be a five star product except it makes doggo incredibly gassy. He burps constantly when having this lol otherwise there's no noticeable digestive changes. I received this product in exchange for a review, but I do plan to purchase in the future. Nice to have around when he gets home from a walk and refuses water.

The dogs loved it but seemed unsure about the smell
I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. I have two very picky dogs - a young husky who turns his nose up at almost everything and a senior dog who is getting pickier with age. I wasn't sure about the smell of the topper and when I presented the dogs with their food and the topper originally, it took them a little while to actually get over the smell and taste it. As soon as they tried the topper on top of their food though, they BOTH loved it! They finished their food in record time and have gone back enthusiastically for more. I love the benefits of the topper and will definitely buy it again. I find that when I combine it with their wet food as well, they don't get put off by the smell and the benefits of the broth is definitely worth buying the product which is also a great deal for the price.

Great packaging strange smell overall success
I received the Solid Gold Chicken Bone Broth with Lavender and Chamomile Dog Food Topper as part of a free sample program. I want to be completely honest in my review. The packaging is what completely sold me on this product. No waste and can be sealed back up and reused again. As a mom who is always striving to feed her furbabies the best ingredients I am always reading and searching for the best. I found the best dry kibble and wanted to give a little more nutrient to them. The idea sounded wonderful but the dogs didn’t care for the smell as much. However the taste won them over. So very little waste thanks to the packaging and overall happiness of my babies is a great win. Thank you
Great food topper that is good for digestive health.
Our dog is not a real picky eater but does not like straight dry dog food so we add wet mix ins. She also has a very sensitive gut so we do give her digestive health supplements. This bone broth replaces the mix ins and the digestive supplements and she loves it. As soon as we grab the pouch of broth she comes in the kitchen to watch her meal get prepared. She will not take her eyes off of her bowl.
She has had no problems with her gut while using the Solid Gold chicken broth. We will definitely continue to use the this Solid Gold Chicken broth.
She has been on several types of digestive help products from the veterinarian. Some have helped and some have not helped at all. This is working so far, it is easy to use and she likes it.

Our dog's favourite topper!
We have been adding Solid Gold Chicken Bone Broth with lavender and chamomile to our dog's diet for a week and couldn't be happier! We were chosen as part of a free sample program and can honestly say we plan to purchase more within the month.
Our dog is a mixed breed of Staffordshire Terrior, Plott Hound, Boxer etc and weighs close to 90lbs so I used the suggested 2 tsp in a variety of ways. First we added it on top of his dry food (he ate it so quickly I couldn't get a good picture) so the next day I added it to his water, we also warmed it and made it in to a gravy and even allowed him to have it as a stand alone treat (see picture). Each serving was on a different day but regardless he now wants for the puch before touching his food. Using this for only a week isn't long enough to note many positive effects but I can say he has been in a great temperament, he has had ample energy and no digestive issues. Should anything change I'll ammed this review but I love the fact it can be added to water because I worry about his hydration.

Knick Knack Paddy Whack Give The Dog A Bone Broth
I received the Solid Gold Chicken Bone Broth with Lavender and Chamomile Dog Food Topper as part of a free sample program. To be honest, I was already in the market for a tasty and healthy food topper for my big guy. I feed Chandler dry kibble and while he eats it enthusiastically, I felt that he may be missing out on flavor and vitamins. Thus began my search for a food topper. When the opportunity came about to try this bone broth I was excited. Chandler loves it!! Usually he grazes his food throughout the day but with the the bone broth it's gone in one sitting. I really like that the ingredient list is short and made of things I can pronounce and am familiar with. I also really appreciate the packaging. The pouch is resealable for easy storage in the fridge. Also, very easy to pour the broth into your dog's food. I'm happy to report that this product has now become a regular part of our daily routine.
