I previously purchased a variety pack but wanted a larger, more affordable size. This flavor had a lot of broth and chicken as the basic protein which is the main food I feed my 10 year old Wilson. He rarely, if ever drinks water so I recently began adding these packs which are quite pricey, but older cats, especially males, need extra hydration. I had picked up a few packs at a local pet store to be sure he continued to eat this flavor then decided to order the large box from Chewy. I was disappointed to discover there was less broth then in the previous packs. The chicken is nice but he doesn't finish it and looks for more broth. I use it as a topper as suggested. He prefers this over the "creamy "pouches" or bone broth so I will try another flavor when we finish this. The product is very good quality and getting more chicken than broth is of course, more for your money, but I purchased it as a topper to his canned Nulo and it was perfect in the beginning. Nulo is a very pricey food and I struggle at times to purchase it but feel it is so important to provide the best nutrition possible to avoid health problems and medical bills when possible. It is also difficult to get all the food out of the pack. I now open some packs upside down and get every morsel. Cans could be recycled but likely more expensive.

Out cat loves this flavor of this Nulo Freestyle! The shreds are perfect mixed in with her wet food. My only complaints are (1) it is messy to open--the pouch

Out cat loves this flavor of this Nulo Freestyle! The shreds are perfect mixed in with her wet food. My only complaints are (1) it is messy to open--the pouch usually does not tear straight across, and sometimes there is spillage of broth and (2) that it is very difficult to get the food out of the bottom of the pouch. We usually have to stretch it out, add a bit of water to remove everything so there is no waste.
