Transition Instructions
When first introducing your pet to Nulo, we recommend slowly transitioning over the course of 5 to 7 days to reduce the risk of digestive upset that can occur with a rapid change in diet. We recommend portioning 25% of the new food on the first day mixed with 75% of the former food. Over the course of several days, gradually increase this ratio until you are feeding 100% of the new food. This will allow your pet's digestive system time to adjust to any new ingredients and will help to ensure a smooth transition. Mixing up proteins can be a great way to provide variety to your pet's diet. Once your pet has transitioned to the Nulo platform, rotating between recipes is generally seamless!
About Nulo Frontrunner High-Meat Grain-Inclusive Kibble for Dogs

Raising the Bar on What’s in Their Bowl
From their careful selection of ingredients—like protein-rich turkey, lamb, salmon, chicken, beef and duck—to low-glycemic carb source choices like lentils, chickpeas, barley, oat, millet and sweet potatoes, Nulo approaches pet food the way they approach everything: no shortcuts allowed.
(Nu)trition + (Lo)ve
Nutrition and love are at the core of everything Nulo does. That is why they only use the finest ingredients to craft their high-meat, low-carb recipes. So go ahead and show your pet some love with the wholesome nutrition of Nulo foods.

What size is the kibble. I have small breed dogs with some missing teeth. They would need something pretty small.
Answer by • Aug 07, 2020
Three pieces of kibble bunched together are roughly the same size as a penny. Check out the photo below.
Made in USA and are ingredients from USA.
Answer by • Feb 02, 2021
This food is made in the USA. Nulo's meat, poultry, and fish are sourced from North America, with the exception of some of their duck (France), lamb (Australia & New Zealand), and wild-caught fish (regions can vary based on the migratory path of the wild population). Their fruits, vegetables, vitamins, and minerals are sourced in North America as well as regions throughout the world, but are always traced and required to meet strict safety and quality standards. None of Nulo’s ingredients are sourced from China, with the exception of select vitamin supplements that can only be sourced from there.

My dog was always picky about dog food and I could never get him to eat any. He loves Nulo Ancient Grain!
The shipping with Chewy was phenomenal. I ordered in the early afternoon and it was delivered to the house that very next day. No packaging issues at all.

Upset with what happened to my dogs.
My little peakapoo chewed his tail just about off. Itching from this food. My other dog just got the itching really bad and I will not be buying this brand any more going back to Blue.

Fantastic!
While searching for a new food for a puppy with a chicken allergy, I came across this brand and was instantly pleased with their ingredients. I decided to try this line out for my 3 year old flat coated retriever and he loves it! He happily chows down at every meal and I’ve seen a big improvement in his coat and stool in a short time. I loved the food I previously fed him, and he never turned his nose up at it, but he never ate it as enthusiastically as he does Nulo. Super happy with Nulo frontrunner for my adult dog and Nulo challenger for my puppy (which I wish chewy carried as well!)

Chicken Meal is a primary ingredient
While it may not catch your eye immediately, this advertised beef, barley, and lamb food actually contains chicken meal. It made my dog have the worst stools and I finally checked the ingredients a bit more thoroughly and noticed that there is chicken meal vs. chicken fat which he can process.
