Transition Instructions

When first introducing your pet to Nulo, we recommend slowly transitioning over the course of 5 to 7 days to reduce the risk of digestive upset that can occur with a rapid change in diet. We recommend portioning 25% of the new food on the first day mixed with 75% of the former food. Over the course of several days, gradually increase this ratio until you are feeding 100% of the new food. This will allow your pet's digestive system time to adjust to any new ingredients and will help to ensure a smooth transition. Mixing up proteins can be a great way to provide variety to your pet's diet. Once your pet has transitioned to the Nulo platform, rotating between recipes is generally seamless!

    New puppy loves this food!

By Karen on Dec 22, 2020

When I brought home my 8wk old puppy, the breeder had been feeding Purina Puppy Chow and she was very thin... we noticed she wouldn’t eat much. We switched to this Nulo and now she chows down at every feeding!! So happy we found such a nutritious food for her...she is gaining weight, her eyes are bright and her coat is gleaming.

No recalls. Healthy and high quality

By TimTamSlam on Oct 29, 2020 Top 500 Contributor

I've been looking for a suitable food to transition my chi to and there are several reasons why I picked this food. It's really high quality food and pretty affordable when you have a small dog because they eat so little so a 3 lb bag lasts a long time. Nulo has been around for quite awhile with no recalls. There no soy corn or any garbo fillers like that in the food. My chi likes it and she isn't pooping more than usual which happens when she it's lower quality food. Overall I'm really happy with this for my little dog.

    Appears to be high quality

By KrisKD on Aug 16, 2020

Purchased this brand and type of puppy food for the ingredients and because it wasn’t grain-free. The new puppy enjoys it; however, it might not be what her particular system needs or tolerates. Vet is recommending we try a different puppy food.

    Great food! Great Price!

By Bekz on Jun 20, 2020

My 8 week old Bernedoodle was on Purina puppy food when I brought him home. He didn’t like the taste and would barely eat. We transitioned him slowly to Nulo puppy and he had a new excitement about his food. Even with only a 1/4 of a cup mixed in he would actually finish the bowl. He’s been fully on Nulo for a few weeks and he’s really growing bigger and stronger each day! Great food for balanced diet.

It is a nice size kibble for my mini poodle puppy. I like the ingredients too. I am a food rotator and have bought a couple other Nulo products. This is a high quality kibble.

    New favorite dog food!

By Frank on Mar 2, 2020

I tried the kibble recently and my puppy absolutely loves it - his tail starts wagging every time I pull the bag out. Not only does he love it, but after doing a lot of research I really do think Nulo has the best quality ingredients. LOVE this product!

Pup loves it, and so does my wallet.

By Aaron on Feb 26, 2020

This is a high quality dog food for a good price. I’ve tried a few different brands and this is the best price point I’ve found that didn’t feel like any compromise in quality. This is much higher quality than the grocery store brand of dog food which I was previously buying. It has everything healthy you look for in a dry dog food and my pup loves the taste.
