My Border Collie/ Lab mix has been having shoulder problems and after standing for a short time, or trotting, he lets me know he's feeling it. I started with 1/2 tab/ twice a day to test if he would have any tummy problems then after a few days switched to 1 full tab/ twice a day. Amazing difference- he's trotting while going for his walk and coming in and out of the house. He's 15 yrs old!! It's so good, I ordered human grade for me and my husband!!!
My 80lb malamute has always had on and off hip issues. Ive given him these supplements whenever ive seen him in pain or struggling. They’ve always worked like a charm. Now that he’s pushing 13yrs i give him 2 a day. I noticed about a yr ago he really started to slow down on me. Now it one morning and night each day without fail. And he seems great. Very active. Chases the cat around. Up and down stairs like a champ. doing better than before. I will note anytime i’ve had him off and out him on again I do so slowly as with anything new you are introducing or reintroducing. 1/4 tablet for a week working ur way up. My dog has a sensitive stomach but this does the trick with EVERYTHING new i introduce to his diet.
When my girl turned 5 I started to notice a limp/hitch in her step (Back hip) sometimes when she would get up from laying on her left side. My mother suggested (later confirmed to be a good product via the vet) I buy these. She gives them to her dogs (all seniors now) at the maintenance level and they no longer suffer from joint pain. It took 16 days for the hitch I saw in my dog to go away and now that shes at the maintenance level its as if it had never appeared in the first place. If your dog is having some joint issuses I would definitley recommend this product.
My dog is 2yrs old and 100lbs, he has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia. I’ve had him on the cosequin hip & joint meds since he was a year old hoping to help him with his mobility. I was happy to find that Chewy carried the large bottle 250 tablets for a good price. I put them in his breakfast and he gobbles them up. Thank you!
My 12yo, 55lb Airedale terrier has been taking 2 a day since April 26 (it’s now mid-August). I wanted to try a more natural supplement before moving her to carprofen on a daily basis, so we tried these with fingers crossed. We haven’t seen any improvement: she still walks with the same short steps that indicate stiffness, and she’s not been any more active. Additionally, she seems to be itchier (though I can’t see giant welts like others have reported) and has vomited her breakfast a few times about a half hour after taking these. I gave her a half dose of carprofen yesterday and today, and she actually wanted to go on her walks. I have a colleague who swears by these for her pitt mix, so perhaps it’s a breed thing. It was nice to try these, but I won’t be buying more.
I have switched my dog to Cosequin Hip & Joint Maximum Strength Plus MSM Chewable Tablets Joint Supplement for Dogs from another product & after only being on this for a week, I see that she is limping less than she was before. She loves the flavor of this tablet & chews them right up. I would recommend this product to others.
We use both this and duralactin both have made huge differences in the many issues are 82 pound retriever mix fur baby.. who has mini problems with fatty tumors in bad joints at 14 1/2 years old. We started him on Cosequin first, and added the other about two years down the road. If he didn’t have them I’m sure he would have a issue walking and getting up. He’s on his last days now, but these are helping him get through with now added pain pills, and anti-inflammatory’s. Take advantage of AutoShip and you’ll save money. And of course, CHEWY is just the best with customer service if you have ANY issues.
My older bully is now twelve. He started having hip problems a year and a 1/2 ago. Just 1 day he could not walk on his left hind leg. I thought he might have heard it doing the zombies around the yard. But it continued, he finally started putting a little weight on it. I purchased this product. Gave him three a day for 6 weeks. By the end he was walking normally so I dropped it down to Is one a day. 6 months ago he started limping again on it. I gave him 3 a day for a couple of weeks and have given him two a day since then. He is walking normally and runs around playing with the other dogs. A highly recommended product. He's getting picky and changing his ways in his older years, but he does like the taste of these and will eat them right out of my hand.
My 13 year old Golden Retriever is still going strong. Long walks, stairs, hills... are no bother. He is doing very well and I feel good that I am doing all I can to give him every chance at a great quality of life. He is a Service dog and takes very good care of me.
After given remains of a bottle from my brothers dog who passed of old age, I ordered more. My dog’s mobility has increased, and he happily chews up the tablet. Chewy gave a great deal for my new account and auto-ship sign-up. Delivery was quick and as stated by Chewy. Very Pleased.
