Nutro Ultra Grain-Free Filets in Gravy Tender Beef Entree Adult Wet Dog Food Trays, 3.5-oz, case of 24

I got my peek-a-poo (Pekinese/poodle) rescue in the 2021 from the county animal rescue. She is NOT food motivated, and EXTREMELY picky eater. She really doesn’t even like any people food. My brother has brought her over bacon we’ve tried to give her chicken, various different cuts of beef, fruits, vegetables cheese you name it my old dogs would love to have a little piece of people food here or there, my Gracie does desire much food. It’s been a huge struggle since I got her. For the first year I had her, I could barely get her interested in eating. I took her to the vet because she would have these horrible sounds coming from her abdomen for like 24 hours. It almost sounded like the movie alien. Like an alien was in her abdomen. She would throw up a lot and white foam. The vet thought she maybe had to be put on a strict low-fat diet to help with the stomach issues. He told me to get her the hydrogenized kibble, but basically she would not eat it because I’m guessing it tasted like and smelled like nothing like cardboard, so I started trying the two different beef flavors of these Nutros. I put a scoop of the hydrogenized dry kibble in a bowl and open one of these packs and put half of it in the bowl and coat the dry kibble with this and mix it all in. Put the other half in the refrigerator in a Tupperware and then in the evening, I use the second half of one of these packages with another small scoop of the dry kibble. Granted there’s still some days where she struggles to have interest in eating and she definitely doesn’t like it cold from the fridge, but it is the only thing that I have ever found that she will eat 99% of the time. The days she doesn’t want to eat it is only because I can tell she’s just not feeling well, etc. and even in the past month or two there’s been times when she’s actually went and sat by her bowl and wanted more. She’s never done that before but she’s done it probably about 4 to 5 times in the past couple months. So of course, I never want to deny her food because she is naturally so picky and so many times she actually will just not eat a meal so when this occurred, I was happy to give her more. A couple of times I thought because it’s so expensive that maybe I could could see if she would eat something else or that I didn’t have to mix both dry and wet (this) and it would just be easier to scoop dry kibble in a bowl, but I haven’t been able to get her to try anything else. She has absolutely zero interest in anything besides this food. So if this ever goes away, I just honestly have no idea what I’m gonna do. Out of the different flavors, she gets the one with beef and the herbs and sun-dried tomatoes. This one is her favorite flavor.
