I have researched dog food brands so many times and Nitro is not one that is generally even mentioned. When I did find it; it was given a high review. I have fed it to my dogs for eleven years. They both have sensitive stomachs and Nutro has been a good fix. I am a label reader and it has high quality ingredients. My dogs are healthy, energetic and have shiny coats. I do use a topper for the finicky eater. Or maybe I should say spoiled.

So my GP mix puppy LOVED this food. However the last two bags it’s as if he hates it. I’ve basically had to beg my pup to eat that needed a slow feeder bowl. I’m

So my GP mix puppy LOVED this food. However the last two bags it’s as if he hates it. I’ve basically had to beg my pup to eat that needed a slow feeder bowl. I’m worried maybe that was a bad batch, I’ve tossed so much food but he’s used to this; and the ingredients are good for him. If he won’t eat this one, I’m going to have to switch him to another brand and all of my big dogs have used both puppy and adult for years (same lamb and rice formula) If the next bag is bad, I’m going to have my vet test it for issues.

Our puppy suddenly began having diarrhea, after a visit to the vet, a probiotic capsule daily and limiting her to only her puppy food, she did not get any better

Our puppy suddenly began having diarrhea, after a visit to the vet, a probiotic capsule daily and limiting her to only her puppy food, she did not get any better after 10 days. We then thought she might have food sensitivities, so we tried this. We didn't even transition from her old food to this new food. We just switched her food. Immediately her diarrhea cleared up and has not been a problem since.

Not just lamb

I thought this was lamb & rice when looking for chicken free for our pup who has an allergy. It is not. Silly me became over whelmed when looking for puppy food

I thought this was lamb & rice when looking for chicken free for our pup who has an allergy. It is not. Silly me became over whelmed when looking for puppy food that is not outrageously pricey, but also has no chicken and bought this. I thought it was one of the few that had no chicken- but it has chicken Meal and chicken fat. So for the last week we were wondering why once we had him 100% switched over he has been full diarrhea, now I know why! Need to keep looking if you want no chicken! A great food otherwise !
