My toy poodle puppy has enjoyed chewing on these bones while going through the teething stage. They keep her busy for quite some time. It’s important to keep an eye on her as she chews to help her avoid swallowing any teeny tiny bits that could be chewed off after a while. I just cut the little pieces off and hand it back. She’s 4lbs. and the XS is just right for her!
My 11 week old puppy chews everything in site except for this Nylabone. I don't know why but he isn't a fan of it. He is a very small pup though, he is only 2.1lbs so maybe it's just too big for his little mouth.
I got this for my 12 week ole puppy who just barely had teeth. She loved it, loved it so much that she was eating it. I had no idea these weren’t supposed to be chewed down. One day she threw up a lot of junk. I went through it. I found a round tip the matches the tip of the Nylabone, l found long thread piece’s, a piece of stick, and pieces of a goggle strap. She’s eating anything and everything. Anyway back to the nylabon, it’s in the the dump now.
My little chihuahua puppy loves this teething toy. This keeps her occupied and leaves my rugs alone.
My puppy loves this. It’s built to last and my puppy loves to run and play with it.
A friend gave me one of these as her cat did not care for it. I bought another and will continue to buy more. Perfect size for a five lb dog and he loves it!!!
Got this for our new 7-lb mini Goldendoodle puppy but our 3 year old lab got it away from him and bit it in half then swallowed part of it. Obviously an easy thing for a 93-lb power chewer. After a visit to the vet, which included X-rays that didn’t show anything, we were told he would probably pass it because of his size but if it lodged in his intestines his chances of survival wouldn’t be good. We were terrified but he didn’t seem to have any issues so we assumed he passed it. Not so! Over two weeks later he threw it up, still in tact, a solid chunk of bone shaped plastic. It was just lying in the poor baby’s stomach all that time. We feel so thankful it came out the way it did. Never again!!!
The dogs loved this toy and destroyed it in less than 30 minutes. I was so disappointed.
I've been purchasing these for years for my puppies (when they are little) and have always had good luck with them. This time I couldn't find the size that I was looking for so I ordered this one. I think my lab puppy just enjoyed it a little too much. On first day she ate the arm off of one side. I have since found & ordered 2 of the x-large size. She is only 27 lbs but I think the larger size allows the puppies to chewy but not brake off and eat (not impossible but much less likely to happen in a blink of an eye). Please remember to always watch your dogs and regularly inspect any and all toys.
My 3 month old puppy chewed on this for 10 minutes and managed to snap both ends off and swallow them. We had to rush her to the vet to induce vomiting and avoid a catastrophic result. Unfortunately these chew toys are not safe if they can be broken off that easily. They are very harmful to dogs if swallowed.
