A puppy is generally considered an adult when they stop growing taller. Typically for small breeds this is between 9-12 months, medium breeds around 12 months and large breeds closer to 15 months. We always encourage reaching out to your vet for the best results for your little one.

The extrusion process cooks ORIJEN ingredients gently in their own juices with steam to ensure maximum flavor potential. Because they use such a high quantity of fresh and raw ingredients, most are only cooked once. Their cooking process typically cooks at temperatures between 90-115 degrees Celsius. A lower temperature ensures that the nutritional integrity of the ingredients remains in the end product. All finished products are subjected to pathogen evaluation before release and shipment. No product is released for shipment until all tests for food safety and quality are confirmed to be favorable.

Bought this for the excellent reputation of the brand. Slowly transitioned our german shepherd puppy over the course of 2 weeks to this food and he was fine until we started giving him the full amount for his weight and onyl this. He started having several liquidity stools. As soon as we stopped the food and fed him the previous brand he was fine. Its a shame because this is supposed to be high quality food. Did read the bad reviews before purchasing and bought a small bag and again, at first he seemed to tolerate it but unfortunately ended up with issues.

No problems weaning

Great food! Puppy loves it, and we didn’t have a problem weaning her. No digestive upset either. All our dogs are on Orijen and it makes a difference.

When I brought home my third (one at a time) Caucasian Mountain Puppy, the breeder had her on Pedigree Puppy. I took one look at the ingredients and knew I had to make a change. Orijen has the perfect combination of great ingredients and great taste ... while all the while providing nutrition for a good slow growth so necessary for truly BIG dogs.

My goldendoodle turned out to be allergic to many different types of food, but he has done wonderfully on Orijen Six Fish. Although this food has a very strong fishy smell, I don’t mind because it keeps my baby satisfied, wellfed, and healthy. I combine it with probiotics and, as an extra, add some salmon oil.

Finally! My puppy is healed!

My puppy had constant chronic diarrhea when he came home from the breeder, and he was being fed Purina pro plan puppy. I switched to a different type of Purina food

My puppy had constant chronic diarrhea when he came home from the breeder, and he was being fed Purina pro plan puppy. I switched to a different type of Purina food and had the same problem where my pup wasn’t getting any better. After tons of research, I found that I was not alone in puppy, having constant diarrhea specifically on that food. Once I got Orijen it’s like our lives have changed, Kyros, my Alaskan malamute puppy was finally acting the way he should, with no more tummy troubles, more energy, and a fluffy shiny coat. This food, although expensive, has really served Kyros well and I plan to keep him on it for as long as he lives. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my puppy food and such a crucial time of growth and nutrition requirements. Although I’d really do wish that they sold this in larger quantities like a 40 pound bag. I will say that my puppy, although four months old is 55 pounds and goes through one bag in about 2 1/2 3 weeks. I love it though we always recommend this to everyone else.
