The CryogenX Replacement Blade is produced from the finest high-carbon steel and handcrafted to Oster’s rigorous standards, providing unparalleled precision and performance. This U.S. made blade is hardened to RC62-66 (Rockwell Scale C) in-house prior to receiving a cryogenic treatment which further enhances the hardening process. The blade cutting surfaces are then sharpened, finished and tested with proven Oster proprietary processes, ensuring ultra-sharp blades that continue to stand the test of time.

Brush the hair out from between the teeth of the blade. The best way to keep blades from getting dull are to ensure the blades are cleaned, oiled, and stored properly. Dirt and grit from hair will cause blades to become dull quickly so always make sure the hair or fur being cut is clean.

ok regular blades

Oster is good for bulk work and pre shaves but I don’t use them for finishing work. They are decent with hardness ratings and if maintained can be resharpened a lot before being truly dead. I don’t hate them but they aren’t anything special either. Basic blade that fits any A5 clipper. But they make the 3F which I do tend to use often at work so they have that plus!

Loose piece

I just went to use this for the first time and the cutting piece was loose and wouldn’t work. I can fix it but I shouldn’t have to. Especially when the dog is on the table ready to be clipped. I am sure it is a fine blade.

Oster clipper blades - EXCELLENT

I purchased this Oster 7F clipper blade as well as an Andis 7FC which comes with a ceramic gutting blade. I'm glad that I ordered the Oster because I first tried the Andis it did not cut at all. After 5 seconds of that wasted time I opened the Oster 7F pack, installed it on my 20 year old Oster A5 Golden 2 speed clipper which cut through my Elk Hounds heavy fur like butter. I will never waste my time or money on anything but Oster blades again. Chewy refunded the money the Andis blade cost and it then was discarded.

Purchased 3F for my Pet Trimmers “not 7F”!

Have not used the 3F yet. I am going to use it on my Persian Cat, when the weather gets a little warmer to keep her hair at least 1/2” long, for summer. I like to take her hair down to that length once a year to eliminate shedding & mats. She gets brushed daily but once a long hair cat or dog start to blow their hair in FEBRUARY you can brush all you want but the mats form quickly.
