Unfortunately, all hamster balls, of any shape or size, are not suitable for any animal. Since your hamster would be in a ball, there is no way for your hamster to stop moving the ball once they have been going. There are many safety risks tied to this, such as falling down steps or into walls, which could physically or neurologically harm your hamster. In addition to this, the small air slits cause problems. If your hamster is running, your hamster won’t be able to get enough oxygen through the tiny slits. Also, your hamster’s feet could get stuck in the slits, making a safety hazard, as your hamster’s foot or leg could break. Instead of using hamster balls for exercise, try using a play pen, which you can buy on Chewy, or make your own with C&C grids! Please check out Victoria Raechel’s YouTube videos (I think she has one on building a play pen), she has tons of correct hamster care knowledge. Thank you, your hamster will thank your for this!
