I picked this up because I needed something simple that wouldn’t need constant charging, and it ended up working way better than I expected. The solar feature is actually useful; I haven’t had to plug it in since the first day. The controls are easy to figure out, and the display makes it clear which mode you’re using. What really sold me is how quickly it interrupts barking without stressing the dog out. It just breaks the cycle long enough for them to settle down. The different modes help too, especially if you have more than one dog reacting differently. Overall, it’s been reliable, low maintenance, and definitely reduced the nonstop barking. Worth it if you want something you can set up and forget about.

I have had this set up in my house for about a week. It has been an effective control for the nuisance barking. It can be charged 2 ways, usb-c or solar. I haven't had to charge it yet so the battery has long life. I am looking forward to the spring when I can set it up outside.

Moved to a new home with two aggressive barkers that were left out at all hours. Sleep was constantly disrupted by these dogs and neighborhood folks were modifying their own behavior, like not using their backyard spaces, due to these dogs. This thing saved our sanity and our neighborhood. Dogs simply do not bark at our yard more than once, then they clam up. Works so well, we bought another and gifted it to the neighbor on the other side of the offending dogs. Key: make sure you place it close to the offending dogs and at their level. They aren’t going to get the full effect of it’s above them or not facing them.

I bought this for my great Pyrenees and Boston terrier mix because they were fighting right at the fence when neighbors would walk their dogs. We have a small 1 inch gap where the opening of the fence meets, and the larger dog was starting to redirect her frustration on the smaller one - Wanting to grab her scruff. Nothing happened yet, but I didn’t want a dog fight between my dogs. Tried a few other solutions and they didn’t work. So I bought this and it works great at keeping them calm and from snarling right at the fence when people are walking. So if you’re looking to use this for a localized area, it could work, but I noticed that even on the highest setting at about 10 feet away my dogs would just step back and bark from there. That’s fine for our needs because our dogs aren’t chronic problem barkers and we do want them to occasionally alert us to things that go on, but if you’re looking for a product that will register from a distance due to a neighbor or if you have a large yard, I would just take the time to spend a decent amount of money once and go get a really good dog barking device in the 100-200 range.

I chose this for the solar charging abilities. We've been using it outdoors for about 2 weeks and it has not needed to be charged. However, it is not effective at curtailing my dog's barking along the back fence. So I will likely be returning it.

We have a very loud and anxious Great Pyrenees next door who is out much of the day and barks at anything that moves. We can hear him inside our house with the windows closed. At our wits end we decided to mount this on the side of our house to at least keep the barking as far away as possible. Well, immediately the dog noticed. He comes to our side of his yard much less often. When he does, he barks once, then leaves. On a rare occasion when he is really worked up he barks a couple of times. This is nothing like it was. Honestly, we are amazed that this is so effective. Our neighbors said that this dog couldn't be trained (though clearly they haven't tried). This dog, like most others, just needs to have consistent reinforcement. This is well worth the money. Love that it is solar powered.

Works well with different dogs

I have three dogs at home, two wear collars I control using a PatPet hand remote and the third is a senior rescue that wouldn’t handle a similar collar well at all

I have three dogs at home, two wear collars I control using a PatPet hand remote and the third is a senior rescue that wouldn’t handle a similar collar well at all. I got this to try in my living room, and it works pretty well, to varying degrees. My young golden retriever (1.5 years) and my Australian shepherd (4.5 years) stop barking when the device is activated. They often react when the senior golden retriever (13 years) sets it off. The senior needs the higher frequency to react, she is losing her hearing a little bit. The ability to vary frequencies has mixed results when the device is activated.
